3-Day weekend coming up.
4-Day week next week.
5-Days of school this week for the first time this year.

9-More months left in the school year after today.
10-Current number of members in my Fantasy book and movie discussion group.
35-My current ranking in the most popular men list on the Friend Network side of FF.
118-Current population of Spudville, Idaho after two armadillos were run down by a crazed Mormon in a pickup truck. LOL!
208-Current number of members of my Omaha Friends Part II 2006 Romance discussion group.
309-Current number of members of my Omaha Friends discussion group, which still isn't working right. LOL!

For about 15 minutes. LMAO Okay I'm better today, but boy sometimes women really make me mad. LOL Still I'm mad for about 15 minutes max, cause I love women.

Well most women. I just don't like their behaviors sometimes, but I love them Hahaha I know just shut up Brucey

Manipulation, control, possessiveness and temper tantrums no longer work on me, they just piss me off.

I am a free spirit now and no one is going to control me or tell me what to do. I will do what I think is best for my own well being and will not allow someone to manipulate me or play games with me.

Right now I have a lot of people who care about me and I care about a lot of people. I have no intention of falling for and devoting myself to a single individual right now. I'm simply not ready to do that. Attempts to try to make me do that are certain to make me pull the opposite direction.

Tonight I am pissed off because of some rude, childishness and jealousy among some people that I care about. I am going to bed to try and forget about it.

If these people want to not talk to me anymore then that is their choice. It will tell me that they must not have really cared that much themselves if they can stop talking to me because I dare to actually talk to someone else female. They are NOT married to me. They are NOT my wife. They have a LOT of nerve acting like they are.

Okay vent is over.

Hahahaha to some that may be good news and to others, hmmmmmmmm . Wow this last weekend just zoomed past and it's amazing how quick the weekend goes and how quickly a new workweek is already here.

It was a pretty busy weekend for me which is one reason why I didn't do too many blogs. First on Friday of course we had our first "socialization skills" meeting of some of our faculty members at school. These meetings involved some light to moderate lifting of glasses filled with drink. Then it was on to work and from there on to karaoke.

Didn't arrive home until really late and went to sleep on what was by then very early Saturday morning. Then on Saturday, I did some desperately needed grocery shopping, ran some errands and then worked another 4.0 hours at my other job. On Saturday night I just decided to stay home, relax and go online all night. LOL! I'm not commenting anymore on that

Then on Sunday I drove up to Lincoln to see my little brother who is in town for a week from Portland, Maine. My older brother hosted a get together and we had pizza, cheesecake, key lime pie and there was some light lifting of glasses with drink in them. LOL! Then it was home and straight to work for yet another 4.3 hours. About 9:15 PM I arrived home and spent the rest of the evening online once again and once again I'm saying nothing more about that. LOL

So that's what's been going on is pretty much the same old, same old with a lot of work thrown in for good measure.

I am slowly getting back into the school schedule and routine. Football season is starting up this week and I'm getting cable just in the nick of time.

This next weekend should be busy once again as I intend to go visit my boy in St. Louis which will take up some days of the vacation for driving. Hopefully the weather which has been cool and rainy will stay that way because I love it like this.

Well that's about it for now, so if you were going to come searching for me to see if I'm alright then you can rest easy. Of course if you want to just come and search for me for other reasons more exciting I won't mind that either. LOL!

Well Finally a Weekend to Catch Up and Unwind. Aug 26, 2006 11:12 pm

This has been a really hectic week around here. Not only was it the first actual week of the students being back but I was behind in my hours at the other job. Plus this past week for the first time all Summer I had to rise early every morning to get to work and go to bed a little bit earlier.

In short I really needed this weekend an particularly today to catch up on my sleep and to just unwind and relax a little bit.

Although last night I had fun at my usual karaoke establishment I decided to skip karaoke tonight in favor of a relaxing evening at home.

I feel as if I have reached a sort of equilibrium in my life at this point. I'm no longer upset or depressed about things. I'm reasonably happy with my life and the direction it seems to be heading.

I wish I could say the same for some of my friends who are struggling with different issues in their own lives. Of course these friends have lifted me up in the past so now it's my turn to return the favor if they need my shoulder to cry on or my counsel or advice about their lives or their relationships.

Well, this isn't witty, funny or entertaining, but it kind of reflects my mood of just being fairly mellow.

Finally got it back to Thursday where it belongs. Yes folks I know you look forward to it, so here once again is Brucey's Thursday Numerology

1-day until karaoke Friday, woohoo
2-Days of school now completed.
3-lovely ladies that I'm pretty crazy about right now.
4-Other ones that I like quite a bit too. LOL!
5-# of weeks my Omaha Friends discussion group has been screwed up.
6-people I've IMed tonight. It's been a slow night so far. LOL!
7-Number of songs it would be fun to sing tomorrow night at karaoke
8-Number of students in my Brit. Lit. class.

Why Are Men's Heads So Easily Turned? Aug 23, 2006 3:20 pm

Okay well last night I went to the Loveslide for another night of karaoke and lo and behold it now appears that the new DJ, we'll call him DJD has fallen for a different woman than his old girlfriend J.

His new woman we'll call her B, was sitting at the table and man was she ever dressed to kill in a mini and showing some cleavage to boot.

I must say that J obviously had a hard time competing with B, because B is very attractive although not really my type as she is kind of into tatoos and body art. I don't care much for that.

It appears to me that DJD is doing the exact same thing that his friend DJJ did. He is getting approached by a woman who turns his head and he has apparently broken up with his old girlfriend J.

Incidentally, J showed up decked out in a black evening gown later on and unlike A who was provoking DJJ and R, J was pretending to be happy and acting like nothing was wrong. I think secretly she is very upset but unlike A she is trying not to show it.

Just by observing the last two DJ's at the Loveslide I have come to the conclusion that men can be seduced very easily even if they claim to care about someone. B I think must have just made her move in the last week or so, because I hadn't seen her around for a month, not since the day that R and A had their big blowup and DJJ quit to go get married.

The other night however at this other club where DJD worked I noticed B was there and was paying a lot of attention to DJD. I suspect but have no way of knowing that DJD and J broke up on Sunday, because I think he fell for B and she put the move on him on Saturday night after I left.

It is fascinating for me to watch the power that women have over men. I feel like women can get practically anything they want off of a man if they show the man some attention. If they want to seduce them they probably can because I think most men are weak in their resistance to being seduced.

Gender inexplicables, are men and women really from different planets? Why do a lot of men and a lot of women have certain inexplicables that just seem to go with the gender? What are some you can think of? I'm going to start a list and then if you can think of another one add it.

Women-Why the h*ll do they all get up and go to the bathroom at the same time when out in public?

Men-Why the h*ll don't they admit they're lost and stop and ask for directions? LOL!

Well a few weeks ago I posted some of the rather soap opera like events going on at my favorite karaoke club where J the DJ broke up with A his fiance and ran off with R his new girlfriend.

When I last reported J had quit his job because H the daughter of the bar's owner had banned R from coming in there ever again.

Well tonight I went to my other karaoke bar to sing and lo and behold who should be there but J and his new wife R. They did go to Vegas and they did get married.

They seemed very happy together and he came over and talked to me a little bit about his side of the story about what had happened. He is still very upset and a little bitter about things because he feels that A and her friends lied about what was said to get him and R into trouble.

I just told him that if he was happy then that was all that mattered.

Hmmm, maybe by next week I'll have this back to the customary Thursdays but I got off track a couple weeks ago when I went to Colorado. So you all know the routine by now here is my weekly numerology thread and it's sigificance.

0-Days until karaoke Friday Woohoo
1-Week more and the students arrive for school.
2-More days of teacher workshops and inservice.
3-Women I really like right now and like me back.
4-Women more that I like a lot and like me quite a bit. LOL
