| Funny Quote of the Day :) |
Jan 23, 2007 2:56 pm Mood: devious, 774 Views | | Hehehehe this is one I saw on Y360 on a blog of one of my good friends.
"Inside of me there is a thin woman longing to get out, but I can usually shut the b*tch up with cookies."
Just felt like laughing a little there.
These were sent to me by my mom recently:
Short and Funny I dialed a number and got the following recording: "I am not available right now, but Thank you for caring enough to call. I am making some changes in my life. Please leave a message after the Beep. If I do not return your call, You are one of the changes." ~~~~~ Aspire to inspire before you expire. ~~~~~ My wife and I had words, But I didn't get to use mine. ~~~~~ frustration is trying to find your glasses without your glasses. ~~~~~ Blessed are those who can give without remembering And take without forgetting. ~~~~~ The irony of life is that, by the time You're old enough to know your way Around, you're not going anywhere. ~~~~~ God made man before woman so as to give him time to think Of an answer for her first question. ~~~~~ I was always taught to respect my elders, But it keeps getting harder to find one. ~~~~~ Every morning is the dawn of a new error. ~~~~~ The quote of the month is by Jay Leno: "With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, "Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?" |

| A Busy Tiring Monday |
Jan 22, 2007 2:22 pm Mood: tired, 651 Views | | Well it was back to work (school) today and that's not so bad except that we have to go back tonight for registration/open house. We are in the process of recruiting 8th graders to come to our school next year so all of us have to be on duty from 6-9 tonight.
This means I am not going to try and go work at my other job because I just don't have the energy to do that AND come back and go to Open House.
By the time I get home tonight around 9 PM I will not feel like going in either so I'll just take tonight off from my other job and make up my hourse between now and Sunday night of this coming weekend.
Hmmmmm, I'm not getting enough sleep I don't think. I think I need to stop talking to women LMAO (fat chance!!) Overall though my health has been very good this year. I had perfect attendance both 1st and 2nd quarters.
Last year I was sick about 4 times between October and May with a lot of stress issues. This year has been so calm so far by comparison. I think I need to give up women. LMAO! (fat chance)
I'm cooking my dinner right now while I get ready to go back to Open House by 6:00PM. I'm going to have to don the dreaded tie and dress shirt, something which I don't usually do much anymore.
Well see everyone tonight about 9:00 PM or so. |

| A Nice Lazy Sunday. |
Jan 21, 2007 8:56 am Mood: content, 684 Views | | Well got up about 9:00 AM this morning. Looked outside to find 4 inches of snow on the ground, but it's light fluffy snow so not too much of a problem. Naturally it's not going to be enough to get me out of work tomorrow but it isn't too much of a problem either as I've already been out and once you get to the main thoroughfares the roads aren't that bad.
Just sitting here watching Return of the King extended edition while I post and read blogs and discussion topics.
Plan on watching the AFC Championship on TV before heading into work at my other job. I'm rooting for the Colts but I believe the Patriots will win.
Well I'm not feeling too devious nor too inspired today so this is all you get Sorry if it's not good enough |

| Weekend of Singing :) |
Jan 20, 2007 9:51 pm Mood: content, 641 Views | | Well it's 11:43 PM Saturday night as I write this blog entry. This weekend thus far is best described as a karaoke weekend. Last night after working about 3 hours at my other job I ventured off to my customary Friday watering hole for karaoke.
The place is now crowded every week. There has not been an UN-crowded Friday night there since last Summer. It was an "interesting" night in that someone got caught trying to actually 'do it' in the bathroom of the place. OMG, how drunk would you have to be to actually try to do it in a bathroom of a bar? It was apparently in the women's bathroom. I think I know who the girl was but geez the guy must be a real idiot to go INTO a women's bathroom and attempt something with a women in there when people can just walk right in. (And of course they did)
Anyway I ended up only getting to sing 3 times because it was so crowded but it was still a fairly fun night.
This afternoon I worked another 4 hours and then went off to a party for my fellow employees at my school. As it turns out it was fun because one of the organizers rented a karaoke machine and so I sang about 7 times at the party before returning home around 9:30. Then when I got home Moony who used to be here on the blogs had organized a group karaoke and I popped in there and sang once. So all in all, the weekend has been filled with karaoke for me.
It started snowing late this afternoon around here. It's a light white fluffy snow and last I heard we are expected to get as much as 6 inches by tomorrow night.
If it snows all day tomorrow we might not have school on Monday which would be nice but the snow seems to be melting when it hits the street so there may not be much of an accumulation.
Anyway at one point this evening I couldn't keep up so many people were paging me. Now I'm down to writing a blog and talking to myself. But I'm in a good mood so no biggie and I'm just posting blogs and on the discussion groups which is what I like best anyway. |

| 51% Done |
Jan 16, 2007 3:22 pm Mood: happy, 654 Views | | Well day one of second semster is history so I am 51% done with the school year I have three blocks of classes instead of just two this semester, but in a way I like that because I have two senior English classes of Brit. Lit. and one junior English class of American Lit. Also I am starting over in unit I as of today because we are done with an entire year of instruction for the kids we had first semester and these kids have not had English this year.
In a way this is good because shuffling the kids around means that they must get used to new routines, new teachers and new subjects. Some of my kids that just left my class were starting to run out of energy and it was really starting to show in their behavior and their performance but with a whole new set of students it will be like beginning the year again although I don't expect the honeymoon period to last quite as long.
About the only annoying thing was yet ANOTHER one hour long meeting after school. We had two meetings last week and now another one tonight. I didn't get home until almost 4:15 which is a drag because now I must get ready to go to my other job and have to eat a TV dinner because there's not enough time to really cook anything.
Anyway I'm 51% finished After tomorrow it'll be 52% finished |

Jan 15, 2007 8:35 am Mood: mischievous, 690 Views | THE BOX OF CHOCOLATES
For all of us who are married, were married, wish you were married, or wish you weren't married, this is something to smile about the next time you open a box of chocolates:
Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in Northern Arizona when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of the road. As the trip was a long and quiet one, she stopped the car and asked the Navajo woman if she would like a ride. With a silent nod of thanks, the woman got into the car. Resuming the journey, Sally tried in vain to make a bit of small talk with the Navajo woman. The old woman just sat silently, looking at everything she saw, studying every little detail, until she noticed a white bag on the seat next to Sally. "What in bag?" asked the old woman. Sally looked down at the white bag and said, "It's a box of chocolates. I got it for my husband". "The Navajo woman was silent for another moment or two. Then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder, she said: "Good trade." | |

| A Little Humor to Start a Monday :) |
Jan 15, 2007 7:46 am Mood: mischievous, 706 Views | | Okay a disclaimer. If you are offended by blonde jokes don't read this one which was sent to me by my mom a few months ago . It made me laugh in any case and I'm in the mood to tell a joke today:
So, You Want to Be a Detective?
Three Blondes were all applying for the last available position as investigator for the Police Department. The detective conducting the interview looked at the three of them and said, "So y'all want to be cops, huh?" The blondes all nodded affirmatively.
The detective got up, opened a file drawer and pulled out a folder. Sitting back down, he opened it and pulled out a picture, and said, "To be a detective, you have to be able to detect. You must be able to notice things such as distinguishing features and oddities such as scars and so forth." So saying, he stuck the photo in the face of the first blonde and withdrew it after about two seconds. "Now," he said, "did you notice any distinguishing features about this man?" The blonde immediately said, "Yes,I did. He has only one eye!"
The detective shook his head and said, "Of course he has only one eye in this picture! It's a profile of his face. You're dismissed!"
The first blonde hung her head and walked out of the office.
The detective then turned to the second blonde, stuck the photo in her face for two seconds, pulled it back and said, "What about you? Notice anything unusual or outstanding about this man?"
"Yes! He only has one ear!" The detective put his head in his hands and exclaimed, "Didn't you hear what I just told the other lady? This is a profile of the man's face! Of course you can only see one ear!!! You're excused too!" The second blonde sheepishly walked out of the office.
The detective turned his attention to the third and last blonde and said, "This is probably a waste of time, but I'll be fair and give you a chance." He flashed the photo in her face for a couple of seconds and withdrew it, saying, "All right, did you notice anything distinguishing or unusual about this man?"
The blonde said,"I sure did. This man wears contact lenses."
The detective frowned, took another look at the picture and began looking at some of the papers in the folder. He looked up at the blonde with a puzzled expression and said, "You're absolutely right! His bio says he wears contacts! How in the world could you tell that by looking at his picture?"
The blonde rolled her eyes and said, "Well, Helloooo!!! With only one eye and one ear, he certainly can't wear glasses!!!" |

| Nature's Ironic Cruelty :) |
Jan 14, 2007 8:09 pm Mood: annoyed, 598 Views | | Okay well if it weren't a national holiday tomorrow I would probably not have to go to school because we're having a snowstorm here all day. It's not been nearly as bad as they predicted, but even so I'm guessing school would have been cancelled had there BEEN school
This is nature's ironic little revenge I suspect. So far we've had two storms here and one was New Year's Eve and the other was today the day before a day off for MLK day.
I decided to just come home and relax tonight rather than to try and go out. For one thing it's cr*ppy outside and for another thing I'm addicted to this place anyway LOL!
In addition I didn't think there'd be anyone really stupid enough that I'd want to meet or talk to anyway at a karaoke bar on the night of snowstorm LOL!
Right now I'm making some burritos as a yummy snack? Anybody want one? Mmmmmmm |

Jan 14, 2007 12:37 pm Mood: devious, 757 Views | | Personal Declaration of Age Defiance
I have decided that I'm not going to get any older. I woke up this morning and said, "Okay, this is it, I'm not aging anymore, in fact I'm going backwards from now on and I'm going to begin subtracting.
Someone told me, "Act your age.", the other day, but I just thumbed my nose at them said, "No way poopy head" and skipped away giggling. From now on everytime I have a birthday I'm just subtracting a year instead of adding one. I reserve the personal right to be immature, silly, fun loving and young. I have taken the liberty of inverting my chronological age as of my next birthday so if anyone wants to know I will be 25 on Feb. 19th Anyone want to go out drinking with me? I am a lot of fun, I swear. I can go all night just like any 25 year old
I promise I won't gargle beer, I AM more mature than THAT . So from now on wish me a happy 25th or tell me I'm really cute and young looking, but don't ask me about which medicare plan I have my eye on or what I'm going to do in my "golden years". I have personally decided to not hold my "golden years" I am going to start over at 25. Anyone want to go out?
