So I sent an email reply to nightcatgirl's duplicate message that stated that she wanted to sent pics. I wrote that I wanted her to send a pic of her  from the BACK and I asked her to send me a LOCK of her ! ...No response.

Sometimes it is pretty obvious that you get spam and you feel really silly responding but you don't want to be rude in case you are mistaken. Russians often send pics of ladies that are studio camera shots rather than having a background. But then...so do SOME real ladies. Often a phrase like "I saw your profile and found it interesting" is included. Or some incorrect translation like: "I much like your structure (profile)". And they want to email you pictures. I am sure some of you get these spams from time to time. So...do you delete them and forget or do you play it safe and send a polite reply? Perhaps you have an updated list of recent spammers you would like to share with me. It seems that they ALWAYS give a seperate email address to reply too in their first email. I recently recieved an email from nightcatgirl (perhaps you have too) and I sent a polite reply to her friendfinder email address rather than the other one: "Thank you for writing. You have very pretty !

More Car Trouble

So my clutch burnt out last week and the car is still in the shop. Now the mechanic called and said the driver's side CV shaft is also broke. I hope it will be ready by tomorrow. It has been tough doing without it right after I got it back last month when the brakes broke!

Killed by a Spider

So the latest news from Arizona is that my aunt was bitten by a poisonous spider and the hospital turned her lose without giving her any anti-venom. It was probably either a black widow spider or a brown recluse spider. Spider bites are nothing to mess around with and need medical attention FAST. It is a shame to think that a spider can take down a human even in the 21st century but it happens.

My Aunt Died

My dad called this morning and passed on the sad news to me. My aunt Alice and my step uncle had been living in Arizona. I would visit her when I was out there but it has been years since I have been out there. I live thousands of miles away. My youngest sister lives in Arizona and she called my dad in Maryland to let him know. I will get my cousins' emails from her on Tuesday so that I can find out their addresses in Illinois and send condolances. My aunt was a very talented artist. She was barely into her 70's. I have read about many of your losses here in these blogs and they all serve to remind me of my own mortality, as do the news of celebrities who continue to die, often at a young age. I am not sure yet on what she died from. She apparently suffered from food poisoning while visiting Chicago a couple of months ago and was having a tough time recovering from that but I do not know if that could have had anything to do with her death or not. I am sorry to hear of her death, but I can only imagine the grief that her sons must be feeling, and the grief that her sister (my mother) must be feeling. I am fortunate that both of MY parents are still alive, and that there is still a possibility that I may die before them. (Am I selfish or WHAT?)

Yeah...I got called for jury duty again! The last time I was on a jury in Baltimore and we voted to let the defendant off the hook. It was actually a railroad that was being sued after an employee was accidently run over by a train... MORE on this later!

So I spent all of yesterday going to some of my many former colleges and filling out transcript request forms to have them sent to the university that I intend to attend in spring 2010 if I can get grant money. When I was down at the Corcoran School of Art, there were many hot young chix there with very pretty . I had been walking all over trying to find the place and when I finally got back to my car, I realised that I had parked BEHIND the building. So I went in and I was dripping with sweat and while I was at the counter at the registrar's office, a dark -ed young lady also came up to the counter. She noticed that I was dripping wet and said "You're HOT!" I said "Yeah, I have been doing a lot of walking". I should have said "Yeah, girls tell me that all the time." But I CAN NOT...tell a lie.
