It's Just One Of Those Things

there's no mistaking what has taken place here
there's no pretending anymore
God knows that they've loved you, but it wasn't enough
to keep you from walking out that door
it's too late to wonder what's left to be tried
your mind is made up and her hands are tied
it's just one of those things that she can't do anything about
you're someone that they're going to have to learn to live without
she could beg, she could plead, and get down on her knees
but i think she has finally figured it out
it's just one of those things, that she can't do anything about
so bring on the tears and bring on the heartache
let them get on with their pain
if this is goodbye then just get it over
there's nothing left to explain
God knows she has tried, tried for so long
what's left of their hearts will have to be strong
it's just one of those things, that she can't do anything about
you're someone that they're going to have to learn to live without
she could beg, she could plead, and get down on her knees
but i think she's finally figured it out
