"Time heals what reason cannot." . Seneca
note; one can only hope to God that's so..I have been 'going through' a 'broken heart' since December..my reasoning has failed me miserably. . *The word above the clock(in circle)says LIFE. You'll find the photo enlarged for more detail when you go to healing heart images. .

this could be our last good night together we may never pass this way again just let me enjoy it~'til it's over~or forever please don't tell me how the story ends
see the way our shadows come together softer than your fingers on my skin someday these may be all~we remember~of each other please don't tell me how the story ends
never's just the echo of forever lonesome as a love that might have been let me go on lovin'~and believin'~'til it's over please don't tell me how the story ends
please don't tell me how the story ends~
. Kris Kristofferson

Each Of Us Has Our Own Choices To Make/Lessons To Learn

We first saw her sitting beside the side of the road crying, cars whooshing past. She had a dog with her, he was laying beside her panting in the heat of the July day. We turned the car around and went back to see if there was anything we could do. I rolled the car window down and asked if we might be of help..she said yes, that she had been walking with her dog since early that morning. It was now around 5:30 in the afternoon! She said she thought she might have sprained her ankle, and needed a ride to her moms house. We helped her and her very tired dog in the car, and she shared what had happened to leave her stranded on the road..
It seems her husband couldn't find his comb, this wasn't the first time, and she always got accused of being the one to misplace it. There were words between them, he hit her, and she took her dog and left. He never came looking for her. From the guist of her conversation..this kind of thing had been happening between them(and to her)for awhile. She offered some money, and of course we refused it. We explained that we were there to simply help her, that was it. To that she started quietly crying again. She thanked us over and over. We left her at her mom's front door(per her wishes)and made sure she was safely inside.
I was this young girl once, and I stayed in similar circumstances for seven years, God only knows how much I wanted to say something to her..to impart some wisdom..but I didn't. You see.. I've long ago learned that each one of us has to learn our own lessons, make our own decisions..and that no matter WHAT I might have said..it would have gone in one ear and out the other. She'll keep going back until it is worse to go back than it is to stay away.
I've thought of that girl often since..and pray to God that she comes to that conclusion sooner rather than later.

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody. I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat. We must find each other. . Mother Teresa .

The flap of a butterfly's wings in Brazil can set off a storm in Texas. Isn't that an amazing statement? Physicists call this theory "The Butterfly Effect" to explain how the breeze produced by a butterfly's wings could set off a series of reverberations that over time have a tremendous effect on weather patterns thousands of miles away. Now imagine the impact of millions of butterflies..with all of our focused attention on unconditional love..

He's Gone

The paint chip color we chose together, still held in place where you slid it into the wall trim, just a wee hint of gray. The god awful trailer light you replaced in the dining area with a lovely iron verdana~green light. The front entry deck that you spent hours adding rails and posts to, painting it to match the green of the shutters, finally enclosing it with white perforated trim. The board you painted behind the electric company meters, I bet you thought I didn't notice. How neat you left your things in the shed, everything in its own place. I see you everywhere, I still feel your presence all around. My heart is only beginning to fathom what my mind so gently keeps reminding it.."He's gone, Nancy, he walked out on you and 'the girls' in December, without as much as a goodbye, left you stranded in the country without a vehicle, penniless, and could have cared less." The words, repeated so often these past six months, are ever so slowly beginning to sink in. My soul screams in utter despair. .

Silent Sentinels

The two saplings made it through their first Vermont winter, I watch and worry each time a spring storm comes in, begging mother nature to go gentle with them, as their fragile roots start to anchor themselves into the ground. They will be here long after I am gone..grown, strong, roots entrenched in the soil..silent sentinels watching over me, and of all who go after me. .
