Related to my last post about how many people doing LDR these days.. guess what i found on metro uk website ? (its quite comforting to read these !! and its only in british !)

3m Brits looking for long distance love

More than 3 million Brits are looking for long distance love, according to a new survey.

Over the last year, there has been a surge in the number of British singles looking to date someone in a foreign country, findings by matchmaking website PARSHIP show.

With the increased cost of cross country rail travel in the UK compared to air travel, it's now twice as expensive to date someone living in another UK city than it is a European, it says.

Now Brits are taking a more adventurous attitude towards international love affairs with 3 million of them looking for long distance love.

Of the those looking for a long distance relationship, 38 per cent said it was due to cheap air travel, 26 per cent attributed it to a desire to learn more about different cultures, and 28 per cent said they already spoke a second language.

Nearly a quarter of singles (22 per cent) said they would happily enter a long-distance committed relationship, even if they had no plans to live in the same country as their partner.

Of the 60,000 people polled by PARSHIP, topping the list of foreign men that British women would most like to date are the smooth-talking Irish (11 per cent), French (11 per cent) and Italians (11 per cent), followed by the Danes (10 per cent), Dutch (10 per cent) and Swiss (10 per cent).

British men favored the Nordic touch with Swedes (14 per cent) and Germans (14 per cent) closely followed by the Swiss (13 per cent), Dutch (12 per cent) and Danish (12per cent).

Uggghhhhhh ! i hate it when i said i had Long Distance Relationship and my friends said "sorry to hear that".
Whats wrong with having LDR ?
Lots of people had LDR. I think its just not happening just like mine.
Like soldiers that leave their lover for Iraq, or a husband had promotion that move to other city.
Its year 2008!
If its in Victorian age i would cry night and day ! and i can't even imagine that ! when you send message with a dove a hunter shoot your dove and the message is is not delivered. Or when you get someone to send a letter they loose it !
These days just pick your phone and you could hear his voice, and a mail just a click away !
We could even use a web cam !

So whats wrong with "so sorry to hear that" like i will going to suffer for the rest of my life ?
ugghhhh !!!!

PRO: You don't need an excuse when you don't feel like sex on a Tuesday.
CON: You can't get laid on a Tuesday.

PRO: You get tons of frequent flier miles.
CON: Your landlord doesn't accept them.

PRO: The long bus rides give you time to finish War and Peace.
CON: That bus smell.

PRO: You know the best bathroom at O'Hare.
CON: You've eaten more in flight trail mix than you can safely stomach and have seen that 2004 episode of Two and a Half Men 17 times, without sound.

I read this on other website....

Overcome Geographic Distance With a Long Distance Love Quote

It is said that absence makes the heart grow fonder. This is probably why lovers who are apart spend most of their time thinking about each other. If you are living away from your beloved, then there might be a long distance love quote below that will provide you with some comfort.

George Eliot
What greater thing is there for two human souls that to feel that they are joined... to strengthen each other... to be at one with each other in silent unspeakable memories.

Anonymous
Love puts the fun in together, the sad in apart, and the joy in a heart.

Thomas Fuller
Absence sharpens love, presence strengthens it.

Robert Dodsley
One kind kiss before we part,
Drop a tear and bid adieu;
Though we sever, my fond heart
Till we meet shall pant for you.

Francois de la Rouchefoucauld
Absence diminishes small loves and increases great ones, as the wind blows out the candle and blows up the bonfire.

Roger de Bussy-Rabutin
Absence is to love as wind is to fire; it extinguishes the small and kindles the great.

Richard Bach
Can miles truly separate you from friends? If you want to be with someone you love, aren't you already there?

Anonymous
Absence makes thy heart grow fonder.

Anonymous
I hate the stars because I look at the same ones as you do, without you.

Anonymous
A part of you has grown in me.
And so you see, it's you and me
Together forever and never apart,
Maybe in distance, but never in heart.

Khalil Gibran
And ever has it been known that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.

Jon Oliva
If I go away
What would still remain of me?
The ghost within your eyes?
The whisper in your sighs?
You see... Believe
And I'm always there.

Kay Knudsen
Love is missing someone whenever you're apart, but somehow feeling warm inside because you're close in heart.

Hans Nouwens
In true love the smallest distance is too great, and the greatest distance can be bridged.

George Eliot
That farewell kiss which resembles greeting, that last glance of love which becomes the sharpest pang of sorrow.

Anonymous
If the only place where I could see you was in my dreams, I'd sleep forever.

Pam Brown
Odd how much it hurts when a friend moves away - and leaves behind only silence.

Edward Thomas
The simple lack of her is more to me than others' presence.

LDR Tips: Deciding Where to Live

I read this from a website:

One of the most difficult issues that couples in a long distance relationship have to deal with is where to live when they eventually decide to get married or live together. Ultimately, one person needs to sacrifice and give up living close to their friends and family and must also change or transfer their job.

So, how do you make such a difficult decision? Below, I describe some of the factors to take into consideration to help you and your mate come to a decision that you can both be happy with. The factors include: finances, family and friends, and quality of life.

Finance

The affect on your finances can be analyzed by taking a look at both of your living arrangements and job situations. For living arrangement, take into consideration if one of you already owns a home. If you do, this can be a big plus when you start your relationship living together. If both of you are renting, you may want to take a look at who is paying the lowest rent. For your job situation, find out if one of you has the ability to transfer to the new city. Transferring is a good option if you are both happy with your jobs and want the least amount of disruption. Also, take into consideration the ease of finding a job. For example, it will be very difficult for a person who owns his or her own business to move.

Family and Friends

Leaving family and friends is often the most difficult part of a move. The person moving needs to be comfortable with the idea of making new friends and not seeing his or her family as often. If one of you is already living away from family it will be easier for that person to move because they are not giving up as much. Encourage the mate who is moving by letting them know that you two will finally be together and that is what you both have wanted for a long time.

Quality of Life

This factor involves taking a look at the city where you will both live. Does the city offer all the aspects of life that you are looking for? For example, if one of you is an outdoorsy person, does the city offer those types of activities? Is the city a place where you both want to settle and raise a family? These are some questions to consider.

Putting all the factors together should hopefully help you and your mate decide on where to live. If you still can’t agree on who will move, you may want to consider the option of both of you moving to a completely new city.

Remember, the person who is doing the moving is making a big sacrifice for the relationship and should be supported as much as possible.

The conclusion is... Peter have his own home while i am not. He more settle down then i am, i live outside house since i was graduated from high school.. leaving them to the other town for 6 years.. i should have no problem with this... and the last is the life quality... well theres much more better education in Australia and better health care for sure... so i know.. its a good choice to move there

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd;
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should forget and smile

I just try to keep focus on this relationship.
Me and Peter once friends, we separated by distance too.. and it was okay...
But now we were not only friends anymore we were couple.
The consequence's of this type of relationsip is the lack of "touch". I miss him and i can't hug him.
I know i could do this.. i just need to hang in here.. be patient until our next meeting in December.. and i guess after that we will discuss what will we do next...

Even when i know him for 2 years.. sometime when i was with him i just don't know what he think...
Like when this picture taken.. i take this when we hiking a mountain in Bali... he walk passes me because i am just too tired.
I saw him from distance and see he sit on a bench and just like day dreaming...
I just think theres some part of him that i still don't know..
And when i came closer to surprise him he said this " do you realize how beautiful you are ? because i just think you are"

I miss him...

Yesterday one of my superintendent ask me about my trip. I never told them i went there with someone.
They ask for pictures, so i went to my computer and i worried that my personal pictures with peter are there !
But i can't explain why i can't show the pictures. And i just dont want them to get suspicious.. i thought i could skip the pictures of us huggings !
And its happened ! i open the wrong folder that i am not edited.. and.. they laugh !!
My bosses are expats.. and i kept saying that i don't want any relationship with white guys because they were complicated. I kept saying this because some of them.. short of the type that "looking" for fun and the reason because they were away from the wife for a while and they were healthy (and sick) man !
I am afraid to tell about Peter because i am afraid they wont respect me anymore... and told about this to every one at office...
ouuughhhh !
I kept denying about the relationship that i got with Peter when the picture stop, yes ! its stop at the bed picture where we stay ! and made me blush and can't say anything!
I just said okay what ever.. you want to judge me, go ahead !
But they only say its my personal life they promise they wont say anything.. but they tease me.. past 3 days.. sigh...
..i am a fool !
