| Besides blogging?? |
Mar 6, 2008 1:44 pm Mood: curious, 562 Views | | Other than blogging and spending time online, what other activities do you do/enjoy?
Hobbies? Interests? Events you attend?
For me, sitting in a chair staring at a computer screen can get a lil boring after a while. Especially since my main job requires the use of a computer.
So when I am not online I like to do a variety of things which include:
Crafts.... I am just gathering flowers and stuff to start making floral wreaths and various arrangements.
Walking.... after the cold weather its nice to get out and see all the changes in the neighborhood.
Basketball.... something new I found I enjoy alot! Playing basketball with the kids (not the knock down, competative kind...the kind for old ladies! )
Going for lunch or coffee.... there seems to be about 5-6 coffee shops within two blocks so why not try 'em all.
Concerts.... the last concert I seen was Nazareth and Headpins. Awesome concert and hope to see Nazareth again this year when they return.
Movies.... taking my standing date (my lil man) to see a movie once in a while. What a lil gentleman he is.
Those are a few things I enjoy (not nearly ALL the things I like to do).
How about you? |

| Car accident.... |
Mar 3, 2008 3:38 pm 717 Views | | A woman and a man are involved in a car accident on a snowy, cold Monday morning; it's a bad one.
Both of their cars are totally demolished but amazingly neither of them are hurt. God works in mysterious ways.
After they crawl out of the cars, the man is yelling about women drivers; the woman says "So you're a man. That's interesting. I'm a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There's nothing left, but we're unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days"
Flattered, the man replies, "Oh yes, I agree with you completely, this must be a sign from God! But your still at fault....women shouldn't be allowed to drive."
The woman continues, "And look at this, here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune."
Then she hands the bottle to the man. The man nods his head in agreement, opens it and drinks half the bottle and then hands it back to the woman. The woman takes the bottle and immediately puts the cork back on, and hands it back to the man. The man asks, "Aren't you having any?"
The woman replies, "No, I think I'll just wait for the police....."
MORAL OF THE STORY: Women are clever, Don't mess with us!

| I hate myself today! |
Feb 26, 2008 9:48 am Mood: drained, 725 Views | | Have you ever woke up and just felt crappy? The weathers dull, it's hard to get motivated....climbing back into bed would be the answer but isn't possible.
I think (of course I am analyzing as I do with everything) part of the problem is I put unrealisitic pressures on myself. I feel guilty, that I should be doing more in life. My expectations are far greater for myself than they are for others. It's harder to accept myself sometimes!
Maybe it has to do with the medical issues recently or 'hormonal crap'....a combination of both? I feel I should be completely recovered from my surgery and back to wok full-time and I am not!
I just wanna feel like me again.
Last night I replied to Ari about her mood. Great opinion I have when I can't even follow it myself. It always seems easier to give than receive....even opinions/advice sometimes.
Well I think I will go and soak in the tub and hopefully wash these icky feels off of me!
Sorry for the rant, I know it will pass. Take care and have a wonderful day! |

| FWB? |
Feb 25, 2008 8:43 pm Mood: curious, 629 Views | | I know a friends with benefits type of deal isn't for everyone. So I am asking my question 'what if' out of curiousity. No I am not interested in having this type of relationship or rather nonrelationship.
IF you were interested in having a FWB type of thing with someone who was unwilling how long would you pursue?
A. No means no and should be respected. Would give up immediately.
B. A few days. Maybe they will change their mind.
C. Weeks. Persistance runs in the family.
D. Months. Hate rejections so keep trying.
E. Six month or more. Hoping NO turns to NOW! Overly persistant. |

| This time of year?? |
Feb 23, 2008 12:13 pm Mood: restless, 709 Views | | I find at the end of Winter with Spring so close I get that restless feeling. I want to do so many thing but still feel the lack of energy that seems to aways overcome with winter.
Do others get like this?
The warm sunny days get me out and about and the dull, overcast days find me wanting to curl up with a good book and hibernate until the sun comes out again.
Just curious if others get this restless feeling too.
Have a great weekend!
P.S. I seen this picture and it reminded me of a creek that used to run behind my childhood bestest friends grandparents house. She lived quite far away and used to come to visit her grandparents for the holidays...summer, Easter and Christmas. I used to visit her there. We would go to the creek to spend hours with a warning from her grandmother "Do not get wet!" With every intent of staying far enough away from the water, we came back soaked from head to foot. Everytime! Never failed!! |

| Comments/Advice |
Feb 22, 2008 11:06 am Mood: thankful, 777 Views | | About a month ago I was at another site. It's a fast based site for people to ask questions and give advice/opinions.
One gal had asked (in great depth) about a current situation about a guy. As I read I formed my opinion. To me, based on what she said, he was clearly being using her for s*x.
I chose to answer and share my opinion. Before I clicked post, I thought about my answer. I analyized it over and over. I knew I was being 'brutally honest' as some call it. If she CHOSE to she could have been OFFENDED by it.
I asked myself a few questions (before posting):
Am I being offensive, is this my intent? No, just honestly basing my opinion on what she wrote and my past experiences. No offense meant!
Am I meaning to hurt this person? Not at all, she is clearly hurting enough!
Do I think my opinion may be helpful? Yes, it can be if she takes it in the context I mean it!
Should I listen to my instinct and post, or maybe reword it? No, click post you moron!! Listen to your instinct. Its your instinct to post so do it and stop procrastinating!
Ok *big gulp* POST. Well there it was for her too see. Please lady...take it like I mean it!
Time went on, I forgot about it. I received an email from the site. Someone had messaged me to thank me for my opinion. Hmmm curious I went to see it.
WOW!! It was this gal. She didn't rip my face off. She thanked me for 'telling it like it is' (she knew in her heart he was using her and didn't want to be honest with herself).
Sometimes we say and do things which can be taken wrong. Sometimes people misunderstand our intent and ASSUME we are being mean, rude etc.
The only person who really knows the intent is the person saying or doing it. If in doubt ASK the person before ASSUMING anything. This can eliminate many issues!
Just thought I would share a Sweetnsassy moment.
Hugs and have a wonderful weekend! Cindy |

| Bad things come in 3's? |
Feb 18, 2008 10:05 am Mood: hopeful, 644 Views | | Hi everyone! Hope life is treating you all well.
Bad things come in three's they say. Well here I am on 6!!
First we all got colds, terrible coughs which seem hard to get rid of.
Next my eldest son slipped on some ice and pulled some tendons. He is better now!
Then my computer's hard drive packed it in.
The kids computer got a virus which I can't get rid of it. :'(
Last Monday, after going through alot of pain I had my gull bladder removed, so still on the mend.
Now my daughter wakes up this morning with her throat all swollen so shes off to the DR.
Wheeeew hope thats it!
I am managing to stay in good spirits for the most part and hoping things settle down. I really miss work. Its hard sitting around so much and not having people to talk too!!
I guess the lesson learned in all of these things is a reminder to not take things for granted and appreciate EVERYTHING we have in life! Simple things such as going for a walk without pain. Feeling the sunshine warm your face. Breathing fresh air etc. These are small things we forget to be grateful for, we take them for granted and shouldn't.
Anyways enough whinning! Thanks for stopping in and take care of you!!!!
