Reasons For Not Posting a Profile Picture

When I asked someone why they have not posted a profile picture of themselves, the reasons vary from their position in the company, for privacy, or maybe they think they are not sexually/physically attractive. I need someone to help me understand these reasons because for me the reasons do not pass MY common sense test.
1. Position in the company...really? I mean if you're the manager, people who work for you do not lose respect for you because you are a member of a dating site. People give you respect because of your work ethics and how you treat them. Unless you are in politics, this should not affect you in any way.
2. Privacy. For me this is like saying, I'm married or have a girlfriend and I don't want my wife/girlfriend to find out about being a member of a dating site or your wife's friend who happens to be on the same site.
3. Not Sexually Attractive. Well, if you think you are not sexually attractive then you have self-esteem problems. People have different taste/preference when it comes to physical looks. We are all human and we are all attracted to beautiful things or people; however, even if you think you are not sexually/physically attractive put a picture up. You don't want to get disappointed if you connect with someone, exchange messages a few times, and then they ask you for a picture. After they see your picture, you'll never hear from them again. Wouldn't it be better if they see a picture of you right off the bat! It will save you time and from being disappointed. Besides it's nice to put a face on who you're corresponding to.
