| Have been let down really badly. |

Mood: crushed, 2235 Views |  | It's the first anniversary of Mike's passing on Friday, (my husband for those who haven't read my other blogs.. he was only 45) and a so-called friend was supposed to take me down to the cemetary in the morning.
I texted them yesterday, and asked if they were still free, as they had promised to take me a few weeks ago. I was told that they were now busy. I know they are not working, and I had offered to give them petrol money to take me.
A few weeks ago I gave them loads of support with a very difficult situation, even getting out of bed a few times on work nights to help with it, which affected my health, but I didn't care, because they were my friend and needed help.
I feel really betrayed.. I went on to msn to see who was around, and when they saw me come on.. they went off.
I would rather they had been honest with me... I knew they were lying.. and I know that they have been giving time to others... I haven't seen them since their problems.. I guess I got my answer there haven't I.. feel really used!
I really am at a loss. I don't really need this, this week! Finding it hard to cope as it is, and for someone to use me is not nice.
Sorry to go on, I know there are others on here who are going through a much tougher time than me, and my heart goes out to each and every one.. I just need to get my feelings out.. and I know that they read this site.. so they can see how upset I am feeling. I am just too much of a wimp to say it to their face.. but I guess it won't make any difference.. they are hard skinned I think.. too caught up in a new romance to care what a supposed long term friend is feeling...
But at least I do feel better for getting it out of my system.. hopefully now I will have a better day! Thank you dear friends for reading this.. I hope I haven't upset anyone on here!

| Out of pain meds... OH NO! |

Mood: hopeful, 2046 Views |  | Just opened the box the pharmacy delivered yesterday and it's only got four codeine effervesant tablets in it.. I was expecting 100... Sunday is going to be one hell of a painfull day...
Has anyone got any natural pain relief ideas.. I am going to be like a walking statue tomorow...
PLEASE HELP ME!
P.S. Before I get any sarcastic comments (from certain members) about being addicted to my pain meds.. I'm not.. I will survive tommorow! I am a STRONG willed person.. takes more than no pain meds to knock me down! Would just like a bit of advice..

Mood: peaceful, 1876 Views |  | Snuggled here on the sofa... Daisycat and Casper curled up next to me.. bliss! Feeling a bit wooly as just taken my pain meds so floating on a cloud of nothingness!!

| Disability... what is your point of view? |

Mood: thoughtful, 1887 Views |  | Disability comes in all shapes and forms. I have fibromyalgia, which gives me pain most of the time, but I don't let it beat me. But I don't look ill, so I get treated like i'm not. It's only when I can't walk properly that I get some sort of recognition.
I took my blind friend shopping yesterday, and we had to go to the bank, she wanted to bank some change. Because my friend was holding on to my arm, she had eyeshades on, but apart from not being able to see, she is a very articulate lady. The counter assistant talked to me and not my friend. My friend is used to this, but I found it upsetting. We went to a few other shops, and apart from one, she got the same treatment.
She did get annoyed by the end of our trip. She was also carrying a white stick. When we were walking back, I was leading her, as she can't see where she is going, and I describe the condition of the pavement so she doesn't trip up. So many people bumped into us, or didn't move, and one person riding a bicycle knocked us flying.. on the pavement!
No-one has manners these days. Or respect for people, especially people who are physically impaired in some way. I have found this a lot when I have taken out people with physical problems, they are ignored. One person said about a friend.. "does she take sugar?" and I said.. "why don't you ask her?" She went bright red, I said "there's nothing wrong with her brain or mouth - she just can't walk!"
What are other people's veiws on the way that people with a disability are treated? Do you think more can be done?

Mood: crushed, 1909 Views |  | Julliette.. I hope you get to read this! I am still at a loss as to why you are leaving here.. so many people love you.. I am one of them! There are so many others that do too.
If someone has upset you on here.. don't let them win. You have loads of support from your circle of friends - we will miss you so much if you go.
You have always been so supportive to me, and have given me courage to be who I am, to write what I want and be there for others.
You are one of the loveliest, kindest, caring and sweet ladies on here. Blogland will be a sadder place without you.
If you really want to leave and feel you can't stay, please go with our blessings.. but know that you will be so welcomed if you decide to return.. or not to leave.
I hope that many will post on here, and let her know how we are feeling x

| 10 PLUS POINTS TO BEING A SINGLE FEMALE....:-) |

Mood: amused, 1712 Views | I was reading someone's blog, and it made me think of how much I enjoy my own space.. Sure, I miss Mike, my lovely late husband. But I have been thinking there are plus points to living on my own, what do you think??
1, The toilet seat stays DOWN (unless I have a male visitor.. I am trying to train them..!)
2, I have full and TOTAL control of the TV remote
3, No nasty ouders eminating from the laundry basket- that only industrial strength air freshener would kill
4, I can eat what I want, when I want
5, I don't have to clean pee from the walls, floor, toilet seat, bathmat anymore
6, I have a huge double bed all to myself (apart from the cats of course)-and don't get my head pushed underneath the duvet to sample the "best fart I have ever done"
7, I can play Queen full blast.. (Mike hated the music)
8, I go into the fridge and food is still there, not empty wrappers where food used to be
9, When I get home from my job, everything is still where I left it
10, Most of the time I can get to sleep (apart from the noise of my neighbours tv) as there is NO SNORING!!!!
I do miss male company, and miss snuggly nights in bed, but there are some good points!
Hey what do my fellow bloggers out there think? Please tell me your views!!!!
