WOW! Doctor Who has been so exciting to watch just lately!
Just a shame we now have to wait until Christmas to catch the next show
Donna - Catherine Tate- was a great addition to the show, what with her great sense of humor I thought she really gave the show that spark of comedy that it needed!
And how wonderful to see the return of Rose and Martha, and of course lets not forget Sara Jane.

Well, well, well so it appears Rose was the love of the Doctors life after all!
But he had two hearts? So what difference did that make?
Did he have a love for Donna as well?
Or could it have been more like a deep sense of caring?
I have no idea!
But which is your preferred Doctor Who girl?
Who would you like to see as his permanent time traveling companion?

My father's widow story is printed in this weeks's FULL HOUSE magazine, issue 28, dated 10th July. It costs just 68 pence, and the story spreads over three pages - it's a long one, but very interesting all the same!
Although I must point out that there are a few inaccuracies in the story! I have never telephoned my father or his widow (he would never give me his number), and I never told his widow about his secret family at all - she already knew! But you know the magazines - they'll print anything if it makes a good story!

If you are in the UK you should find it on the shelves at your local newsagents.

Yes I received a telephone call from the BBC last week!
They are interested in one of my stories and they have offered to feature me in a TV documentary!
Like WOW, how amazing is that?
Filming is to take place late Summer, and the half an hour show will be scheduled for January 2009, on BBC3 broadcast at around 8pm!
Apparently the show will feature a famous presenter, Natalie Cassidy has been mentioned!
At first I thought , "Who the hec is Natalie Cassidy?"
But now I realize it is the former Eastenders actress!
I've been advised that the TV crew will get to know me first through a number of visits to my home before filming commences!
The good thing about the documentary programme, is that, unlike the magazine articles, viewers world wide should be able to see it, as BBC 3 is now available through satellite and cable channels!

Planning one for then anyway, after much debate!
Conception should be around August to November 2009!

After watching yet another documentary last night about Wacko Jacko's imminenent comeback questions have been raised yet again about his behaviour.
There seems to be an overwhelming amount of evidence stacked against that man. In particular his alledged relationship with the young Jordy Chandler boy. Video coverage of Jackson happily bouncing the fourteen year old boy on his lap did seem quite pedophelic! All rather seedy looking indeed!
That Michael Jackson is definitley dishonest that's for sure.
I watchced him in an interview where he claimed to have had NO PLASTIC SURGERY whatsoever!
He reckoned he only had a SLIGHT medical alteration to his nose due to it being broken one time! His claims that his white skin tone and bone structure are completley natural must be LIES! The man is either insane or just plain evil.
So what do you think about Michael JACKSON?

At last baby the sun has finally hit us, we are enjoying record high temperatures for this year, of an amazing 28 degrees! OK not exactly a heat wave, but it's real nice to finally be able to step out into the back garden without your wellies on!

A couple of weeks ago I had a kid crying because it was "TOO COLD" as we walked home in the rain from school.
Two days later and we are all basking in the sunshine!
My seven year old daughter, bless her, was hard pressed to find a summer outfit in her wardrobe last week. We've not had the warm weather to warrant any summer clothes for a long time now! She'd got plenty of jeans though! So I had to make a quick on line order to 'NEXT' after she chose some little summer skirts and sun dresses, and a cute pair of flip flops with a little wedge heel! ow!
I can finally give the tumble drier a rest, and at last hang the laundry out on the washing line to dry! Not before I had to dust off all the cob webs first! I have fished out the parasol, garden chairs + table and loungers from the back of the garage, and don't they look inviting out there on the patio? They sure do baby!
Pass me a cocktail please, ice and a slice!
I gave the patio a right good sweeping last week late one evening. All the leaves from Autumn were still littering the patio slabs.
Went out and bought a new hedge trimmer yesterday. Needed to replace the other one I'd been using last year after I ended up cutting through the cable. So this time I bought a cordless one. Only I'll have to exchange it down at Argos as I've only gone and bought a rather heavy model. I really could do with a lightweight model or I'll end up rupturing my muscles or something! I couldn't lift it very well by the time I'd attached the battery pack to it. So I will have to buy a more expensive lightweight model. Well you get what you pay for I suppose! Our garden is full of shrubs, conifers, willow tree, ornamental hedgerows, the lot! It does take some work to maintain. I reckon the original owners must have been old people, 'cause I couldn't imagine anyone else planting so many shrubs and all. That garden doesn't take too long to become overgrown, especially during the Summer! Still they look a picture when they're all manicured to my standards!

Well sounds like the washing machine cycle's finished. I've got the curtain pelmet in there, seeing as it's a nice day to hang them out I thought I'd give the lounge curtains a good wash! And boy they should need it! Although they don't look particularly grubby or anything they must have turned a shade or tow of cream darker since they were first hung over three years ago back in our old house! I'd been regularly washing the sofa/chair covers (same jacquard pattern/color as the curtains) and they do look much lighter than the curtains! So time for a wash I thought!!

Right off I go to hang them out in the garden!

They really do my head in those darn OFSTED (Office For Fair Standards in Education) inspectors, they really do, and I expect I'm not the only one who feels like that about them!

I had one visit my home last week for my first ever child minding registration inspection.
I spent weeks preparing for the visit. And I'd been up till past midnight the night before drawing up and printing out various documentation, to support the strict regulations.

Oh no but that was not good enough for the hoity toity OFSTED inspector lady. Oh no, she just breezed into my home, like she owned the gaff, and nit picked everything and anything. She totally ignored all the positive things about my child minding practice and focused on anything negative! The only negatives she could find were things she had tripped me up on, and she seemed to have spent the entire visit trying desperately to trip me up, with her questions.

I couldn't do right from wrong in her eyes. She just could not leave my home without having to find something bad about it!

The parents of the kids that I child mind are 100% happy with my child care and so are the kids, but the inspector didn't care about that, she just wanted to upset my well run child minding service. She was intent on finding fault with all the papers and files that I had so scrupulously prepared for her visit. And she did that alright!

As a result of the inspectors horrid visit I have resigned my services as a registered child minder. I just can't work for an organization like that, so full of beauracy. Besides the whole point of me working as a child minder was to work from home, for myself, self employed, without interference from higher bodies! I understand that child carers do have to be monitored to some degree, but I really think that the current system is not working. Any child predator out there would simply not register their services with the local authority to avoid being caught out. So really it's only the honest child minders that stand to be monitored, the perverts and pedos of the child minding world can easily escape the net!

I can still look after the little boy who I have been looking after since last October, as I am able to care for kids up to a maximum of 2 hours per day without being registered!

Registration to me seems to be nothing but full of bureaucracy, rules and regulations, which are nothing but bureaucratic nonsense! Do you know that child minders who care for as little as 1 child for more than two hours a day have to abide by the same rules and regulations as those for a primary school, or day nursery that provide care for anything up to 400 kids a day! Child minders - who work from home - have to produce the same amount of paperwork and files! Like how ridiculous is that?

And I told the OFSTED inspector that at the time of her nasty visit!

"I know that there is NO support out there for child minders who have been accused", I told her after she asked me what would I do if I were accused of child abuse.
So then she turned it all around, all on me, accusing me of knowing someone who had been accused.
"I've seen all the TV coverage of the cases of wrongly accused child minders", I informed her, "I know about the total lack of support out there for child minders!"

Well what a nasty lady I thought after she left without even saying so much as a "Thank you" or "Goodbye" for me allowing her to come snoop around my home with a fine toothed comb for one whole afternoon. She had arrived at 1pm and left at past 5pm! NEVER AGAIN will I allow one of those inspectors to enter my home!

Those OFSTED inspectors must be more hated than traffic wardens you know!
I even came across a web site specifically aimed to put down OFSTED inspectors, full of jokes about them.
They're nothing but a waste of government money - tax payers money - and nothing but a hindrance to all good quality child carers across the country!
