I asked lanka the other night and we were both bawling, but managed to get the words out and then she fell into me. awww. so, anyone wanna go? our date is mar 4, 2009 in NY. gotta book a nice place...see u all there, o and shes getting her dress in June, I'll have her post the pic.

I was actually asked that by my soldier friend once. Who's your fav American, Kassam? Well that depends. I'll put my American friends to the ultimate test here. See, my home is coldie. I need to be holded and hugged, wrapped up and the soft warmth of love and comfort, and for allah's sakes, somebody plzzzzzz stop the draft from coming in the bloody window! So, whoever can give me the biggest warmest, softest hugsies, is the answer to my question, and will walk away from the blogs nominated as my favourite American. Let's see how u do. How warm and soft can u make me? Waiting...waiting...come on guys, get out the warm fuzzy blankets, pillows, and soft slippers, wait...I don't wear slippers...o who the hell cares. Whilst in the process of trying desperately to make me get my Iraqi butt out of bed, which is a difficult task indeed, my lanka decided to hit me with various object to test the effectiveness of such methods of removing Kassam's a$% from the bedroom. Only problem is, when she was in the midst of hitting me, she kinda hit me, well...somewhere important? I wanted to cry...no, I'm serious, I really did wanna bury my face in the pillow and cry.She laughed at me and asked if I was still fertile after that 1 lmao...hahehe being the smartass I truly am, I looked up at her and said let's try to conceive and see what happens...wow Kass, wow...

Lanka said she's gonna buy me 1 of those stuffed plush camels lmao l m a o! And exactly what the hell am I supposed to do with a stuffed friggin camel?

Well Kass, it's soft and squeezable...like Samirah was.

I don't squeeze camels, they smell like news print to me.

But Kass u can hold onto this 1 until u get another camel. and until we can move into the country where u have more land to do so.

Gotta love that lanka. She's alwaystryin' to spring 1 on me and I never do know when it's gonna happen. Probably when we celebrate my emmigration on feb 1st. She better not, u know that? I don't need a stuffed camel I'm not desperate! I just miss Samirah, and yes I'm getting another 1 at some friggin point. Right now I'm more worried about finding work and being able to receive Canadian medical care than a frickin' camel. Besides, if I want somethin cuddly and squeezable, lanka's not far. grumble...turnes over and pulls sheets over face...tries to block out sound of wind banging storm windows together...damn Canada's cold...

Thanks to all who welcomed me. Lol I just managed to climb out of my nice warm soft cozy fuzzy bed. My baby's listening to songs, and I need a pick me up right now to get me fully awake! It's 1 in the afternoon over here and how's every1. Lanka and I are going out at 3:30 so bye all!

It was a long, boring, and sleepy flight, but I'm there! Didn't eat much, so thats all I can think of right now lol. My times are all messed up and I keep looking at the clocks, but I'm there! So now I'm gonna eat, eat, and eat some more, and put my things away, go online and say hi to every1, and well, get used to my new home. Everyone who wished me a safe journey, it came true. As my time here in Iraq finally comes to a close, I would like to just say a thanks to my American friends...despite the conflict, there have been quite a few Americans who have stood by me, helped me, hell, maybe even save my life half a dozen times. Troops...hehehe. So this post is for u! The ones who set aside their prejudices, the ones who took the time of day to show me that I matter too, the ones who completely changed my perspective of the west...this post is for u. Gotta love those pissy kass moods. U know, the don't get too close ones? Last couple days, I've been mad and crying, and crying, and mad...and...well let's just say I feel sorry for my poor poor camel...she's been pushed out of my way more times than a babystroler! So I guess it's cuz I'm leavin iraq in 4 days. Last minute things to do over here in hell, I...I mean falluja, and then I'll be on my ways! Yeah she's waitin. Had a convo with Ari about how she doesn't sleep cuz shes waitin for me and preparing the home for us. So my mood is up down and in the middle. My brother just took me aside last night and said kass, take your hand off the detonator...O yeah. comforting words. Lol your probably thinkin, yeah. thats how Iraqis soothe each other hahahaha. There goes my racing thoughts again woops. Gotta gos. More packing, cleaning, last minute plans, gonna visit the kitty 1 last time and get the camel over to Ali's place before day's end. gnight.
