| Is it Thursday already? |
Feb 14, 2008 6:17 pm Mood: optimistic, 451 Views | Well my friends, time is flyin past. I sit here, Thursday night, all alone, on Valentines Day, no less, watching race qualifying on Speed. What did you do for your Valentines Day?
I will celebrate good next week. Got plans. Secret.
I am very grateful for the work I have been getting. This one man has kept me busy repairing, restoring, and remodeling small projects on his different properties. If you have any automotive problems, or need accident repairs made, take it to AJ's Center Service, on River Road, in Shelton Connecticut. The man is an honest, hard working, caring, giving person. I have used him for all my auto service needs for many years, and know I know why. He is just a real, honest to goodness, honorable man.
He has made sure I have work and an income for weeks, and yes, I see things one sided, but men I have slaved for the past few years are avoiding me, making me wait for my pay checks, and have no work for me.
Oh, and thanks to those that have asked me seriously for help fixing your things. Need advice, guidence, or just a handy man? Call SUPER JIMY!
Have a wonderful weekend, and I hope I see you all again soon.

| What to do? |
Feb 12, 2008 5:24 pm Mood: hopeful, 387 Views | It is Tuesday night. I am refinishing some kitchen cabinets. Not the most fun work, but will have grocery money this week. I am hoping to find time to bake some treats for the ladies in my life. I am thinking of individual sized, death by chocolate cakes, or maybe red velvet cakes, wiht a nice chocolate gnash coat. Of course for the only one that lives with me, it will have to be home made buscuits, baked for 2 hours. She likes em crunchy. And no chocolate, she doesn't react well to sugars.
I almost bought another car today. Was at an auction, buyin for someone else, and a gorgeous mercedes convertable came out. It sold for $3000. A steal. Oh well.
It is snowing here now. Supposed to turn to sleet during the night. Tommorow's drive will be horrible.
Two kids died last night, drag racing on a small side street. Lost control, hit a pole. I feel bad for the families. Where I grew up, we had a safe place to do that. It was not stopped by the local authorities, because it kept us off the streets. No place for that here.
Oh, thanks to all of you for your supportive notes and comments, after I anounced yet another failed relationship. I really do appreciate it. I sometimes wonder if it is not me.
Tommorow, after I shovel snow, I'll go to work, and sand cabinets all day, maybe even get a coat of finish on some of them.
Good night to you all. And may tommorow be your most wonderful day of all.

| Another uneventful week |
Feb 10, 2008 4:30 pm Mood: calm, 387 Views | Well my friends, another week has gone past. For the most part, it has been quite boring here in Jimyville. Wellllll, another bday has past, and no one to celebrate with. I think I was lil depressed about it, then I heard from my daughter, who wants to move in with me. I told her if she wants, I will get her mom to give me custody, but she can not run away. And she can't quit school, spend her afternoons smoking pot, and absolutely no more boys and booze. She changed her mind. And there was that incident in the store. Some poser took a swing at me. No charges have been pressed against me yet, but he is still in the hospital, and the troopers say, there will probably charges of Breach of Peace against us both. I am confident they will not charge me with anything I can't whip off. Like I said, pretty boring. And of course, I called it quits with a certain young lady that I was getting seriously interested in. We did go out for lunch once. I thought things were looking good, but she was overly adamant about getting married, before we have sex. That wasn't the problem, the problem was every day she didn't get a proposal, we had an argument. I got tired of fighting.
On the business front, I am keeping busy doing handyman work, and actually making a living. I got a few contacts interested in using me as a purchasing agent. Prospects are looking up.
I am sorry to hear so many of you are so sick. I hope you feel better.
For those of you that know the story and have been asking, an update on my auntie. She is doing very good. Her blood chem numbers are really good, the kidney is working well, and she is not in pain anymore. she is having a lil stir crazy. With the immuno suppressors, as part of the anti rejection therapy, she is afraid to go out at all. She is afraid that she may catch something, and have a turn for the worse. We spoke Saturday, and she is in real good spirits. She still wants me to move in with her, and asks why I don't every time we talk. She will not let me take care of her, (she doesn't need that). She just wants me close. I feel blessed for her in my life. And thanks to all of you that have asked.
Well, gonna watch the end of the Longest Yard. I hope to see you all again soon.

| Today was productively unproductive |
Feb 4, 2008 5:10 pm 333 Views | I did a lot at work today, but if you look, it don't look like it. I don't like when that happens: feels unfullfilling. I got some more design work done on my next fireplace mantle, and even got to see and set up my next job.
I will be goin to Pennsilvania, later this week. Driving a truck for a client. I am hoping to have the afternoon to myself, there, and go visiting one or two of you I have met here. Don't be surprised by a phone call. Hehehe.
I am very tired tonight. I could not get to sleep again last night. Today I paid for it, but now, feel drained. Wanna come gimme a hug, and tuck me in for a good nights sleep? LOL
Nighty night all. | |

| Wondering what to do next |
Feb 3, 2008 3:54 pm Mood: melancholy, 452 Views | I have not been around much. I am in a somewhat antisocial mood. Just don't wanna talk. Have not found any lucrative work, but doin the handyman stuff, and making a living.
I did a red velvet cake, with chocolate ganash coating, perfecting recipe, in preperation for Valentines day. I got a new pan, makes heart shaped cupcakes and muffins. I am all set. Just need to find someone to give a special one to.
I have created a few magnificent pieces lately, and I am making an oak mantle now. I am doing decorative mahogany inlays. I want to do silouettes of the families' profiles, but it is a hard sell. They can not imaging the finished product
Been working on my plans to holiday. I am still thinking Puerto Rico or Brazil. Any sugestions?
Well, I will try to post again tommorow. I think of you all ever day, just most days, I have nothing to say. I have been checkin out your blogs, when I am on. | |

| What did you do for your holiday? |
Dec 26, 2007 7:29 pm Mood: drained, 397 Views | It is Wednesday. The Holiday season is over. One more big party for New Years. Any plans yet?
I worked all weekend, and catered a diner for friends, for Christmas. I cooked from Monday morning, till 2 pm Christmas day, almost non stop. 5 courses, 2 deserts, and they all came out excellent, if not perfect,(the candied squash was over done). I spent free time calling and texting friends, asking what they were doing.
I ask everyone to pray for the family of a friend, for me. Her sister, Ivy, 24 years old, died unexpectedly Monday. Having buried my son, I have an idea what her father is going through, losing his baby girl.
More than one of my friends told me they were arguing with their significant others. Why is the holiday season so stressful? Why do we let it get to us? I for one, do not spend all my time in the stores, on the road, or any other place that adds to the stress.
Almost everyone I spoke with, was doing the visiting on Christmas Eve, and planned to stay home and relax, or go to the movies, Christmas day. What did you do?
To the friends here, who stayed in touch, and offered their wishes, thank you so much. I hope you and your families are all well, and blessed this year. Happy Holidays, and may this New Year, be the best ever.

| To Paint, or not to bake? That is the question. |
Dec 19, 2007 5:46 pm Mood: calm, 436 Views | Today was a unique day. I got several calls, and looks like I have 2 condos to paint, top to bottom. I now know I will have work to do. So tonight, I am not worried.
Here too, I have recieved several inquiries. Yes, I do travel, and will be happy to go paint and do repairs at your home. No, I will not go to your state, and paint your house, or change your doors, And Bake You Cookies. Hahahahha.
Well, maybe I would. Just make sure I am sleeping on warm floor, not cold concrete basement floor.
And thanks for the replies. I do apreciate them.
