To bash or not to bash, that is the question.

Once upon a time a little bird told me not to engage in blog warfare. For a time I did not listen. Then came the time when I was beaten off the site by my own lack of control. I became so embroiled in anger I couldn't think straight. I lashed out at those who sided against me. Finally I was kicked off the site, never to return.
Eight months later I returned with my heart and head in a much calmer place. What others were posting no longer bothered me. Live and let live is my motto.
Then the day came when one little pill pot decided he knew all about me even though he had never commented on any of my blog posts. He falsely accused me of being an abuser of women. He said I even physically abused women. I never even had any conversations with this person.
I stood up for myself and fended off the libel and slanderous accusations as anyone should.
To bash or not to bash is the question. The answer is not to bash.
People who bear false witness or those who believe in hearsay are mistaken. Time tells the truth. Sometimes it takes a long time to come to fruition, but the truth always lets itself be known.
The moral of this story is:
If you don't have anything nice to say then say nothing.

Long Distance Relationships.

Long distance relationships have been around since the dawn of mankind. Today LDR's are becoming even more common than ever before. With emails and less expensive traveling it's easier than ever before. We've even seen with our own eyes fellow members here that have been very successful.
It all starts out as a friendship. Sometimes those friendships lead to more. The emails turn into instant Messaging, personal email exchanges, phone calls and then visitations.
One common thread that all LDR's have is money. It takes money to be able to travel to another part of the country or even another part of the world. Passports, immunizations, travel expenses, room and board and spending money for gifts and entertainment. It's fun to allow ourselves to dream of what it would be like to become involved with another, even one far far away.
Another factor to consider is one's health and age. LDR's can work but you have to be realistic. Is it practical, do you have the health, the resources and the flexibility? Will you have to learn a new language? Will you have to leave your family, friends and loved ones behind?
When I spend time on this site I often like to think about what could be if only....if only I was younger or healthier or wealthier. I like to dream. Sometimes dreams of today are tomorrow's future. Sometimes dreams should remain just that, a dream. When I'm on this site, I do a lot of dreaming.

Take a look at this photo. What do you think the caption should be?

I'll go first.

Facebook, user unfriendly?

I have an account on facebook now. I think it's user unfriendly. I like having friends over there but I just don't get it. Why do so many like it when maneuvering is so difficult? I guess it's one of those younger things that I am just not into. Anyway, every time I go there I look around and try different things but I'm always left wondering, what is there to do?

Something I've Always Wanted.

It's something, something I've always wanted.
I've had so much, so much in my life.
When I wanted that saxophone, Mom went and got it.
When I asked God to give me a job at the Griswold Plaza I ended up working there for the Post Office.
That cute little cottage, that was near the lake.
When I wanted so many things, grace brought it my way.
I'm very lucky, to live where I live.
There is one more thing, do I dare ask?
it's something, something I've always wanted. |

A Warning to all bachelors.

Warning single men and bachelors. FF is dangerous to your single life. There are bright, intelligent, inspiring and beautiful women on this site. If you're not careful you could start to feel something for one or more of these angelic creatures.
It starts with her picture. You look at her and start to wonder. Is she the one that would think you are something special? Your mind wanders and you like to imagine what it would be like to be intimately involved with her.
For the sake of your bachelorhood, steer clear of attractive, alluring women.

Pretty as a picture

She's as pretty as picture her face so calm. It makes me wonder who will be the lucky one.
A creation from above with beauty, grace and intelligence. Her poetry a testament to the goodness that lies beneath.
A man can hope and dream but only nature can decide. Maybe love has passed me by but my heart is still alive.
Her face so pure she looks so sweet. A fool am I to fall for her her face as pretty as a picture. |

Wanting to know more about her.

I see her picture and it makes me wonder. What has her life been like? Can two people from different worlds be compatible? The more I see her the more questions I have. Could a princess like a common man? Can the impossible really happen? Are some dreams better left a dream?
It's fun to think about these things. One never knows what the future brings. When I see her picture it leaves me, wanting to know more about her.

Bling editor acting up.

I'm sad to inform you but we cannot edit or create blings with color right now. I could only use a black pencil and didn't check the other tools.
Another glitch but I'm not disappointed. So I'll have to live without them for awhile longer. I have so much fun fooling with them that they're worth the wait. I'm going to do a self portrait bling which I think will be funny.
This is the one I'm going to edit. I'm going to remove the glasses and add my curly hair. Oh and ya....loose the tie.
I'm going to work on an introductory video. I've got to figure out what to say and toot my sax for a few. There's a file size limit so it's got to be fairly short and I hope the audio will go through.
"If I don't see ya later,
Good Morning Good Day and Good Evening."

I read an interesting post yesterday [post 119103] about how to make raspberry martinis. Spiking my interest I just had to try these tasty sounding refreshments. Sounding so good I just couldn't stop at two drinks so I made an entire pitcher. Being a very hot and humid day I found these fruity drinks to be the perfect solution to aid in my relief.
Today I woke up with my head pounding and was in deep agony brought on by the effects of having too much fun. Aargh... I'm in pain. Where are those aspirins?
