"One day while the class was in the chemistry lab in a large college, the professor noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back, and stretching as if his back hurt.
The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.
In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, 'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?'
The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke. 'You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day , you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming.
When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in The Last Side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.
Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.
The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America . The government keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drug programs, etc.. While we continually lose our freedoms -- just a little at a time.
One should always remember: There is no such thing as a free lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.
And, if you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America , you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to yo ur way of life then you will probably delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut!
In this 'very important' election year, listen closely to what the candidates are promising you.
Just maybe you will be able to tell who is about to slam the gate on America .

Listen to what the man himself has officially stated.
Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., from his "Audacity of Hope": "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
His allegiance is to "the Muslims" of the world. I did not say it. He did. Actually, he wrote it, which is even more meaningful. He personally and very publicly documented his allegiance and intention to"stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
Obama even has publicly stated that he wants to change our National Anthem "The Star Spangled Banner" to some little happy sing-along song, and he wants to completely eliminate the Pledge of Allegiance. He respects neither. Nor does he show respect for the USA flag. Does he want to do away with that, too? Probably. If Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., and the other Muslims of the world have their way, their flag will be flying on top of our capitol dome, and we will be under Sharia Law.
The Islamization of the USA has begun in earnest. Do you want to accelerate it by electing one of them to the highest office in the land? I pray not.
Wake up, USA voters! We want a President whose allegiance is to we USA citizens...NOT to the Muslims of the world.
May God help us save the USA!

| PEOPLE & ATTITUDES |

This past week...I went into Starbuck's out near Grandview Boulevard here in Madison the City to have cafe aux lait. Madison is known worldwide for our unique city ordinances, our wonderful Mayor Mary (20+ years), the fact that we are voluntarily smoke free community and for our friendliness and hospitality.
I spoke to several people who completely ignored my greeting the first day. One rather attractive lady went out and got in her little Land Rover, one of the least expensive models, without acknowledging anyone beyond the server at the counter whom she could not ignore or she would not have gotten her order.
I thought, "Lady, this fat old cripple man, sitting here in my pull-over shirt, warmup bottoms and athletic shoes, could buy several of those right now...and not have to take out any kind of loan. And you think your personal appearance and your personally perceived public status means something special. It doesn't. What really matters is what kind of person are you. And, apparently, not much."
The second day...I met many nice and mannerly people. One of them was Meagan, the most delightful young lady with whom I have had the pleasure of coming into contact in years, a 22 year old Belhaven College Senior, sitting at a table all alone, listening to music and studying her Physics, which was one of my veryy favorite subjects when I was in school, along with English, Literature, Journalism and History. She had the absolutely most beautiful and telling eyes I have seen in a very long time. It was immediately clear that she was a very nice, mannerly, intellighent and interesting young lady. She was beautiful in every way...physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually...mind, body and soul.
I spoke, and she paused, looked up, smiling, and returned my greeting. She then turned her music off, and we talked and talked. I so very much enjoyed visiting with her and her brother who came in later, an extremely nice young man. The two of them were very exceptional young people, and they mightily blessed my day. I thank God I met them.
Then I went in Friday the 13th, and everyone was very friendly, employees and customers. Everybody was smiling and happy. There was not a "sad sack" or negative person in the building all afternoon. I sat there absolutely amazed.
"What a difference a day makes." Why? Why was one day so very different from the other two? Perhaps, because the first day's "snoots" had delusions of grandeur, or they were quite simply just not having a good day. But, you know, our attitude determines to a great extent what kind of a day we have any and every day of our life.
All of my days are good ones. If yours are not, maybe you need an attitude adjustment. Maybe you just need to smile more and be friendly with everyone you encounter.
Try it. You might like it.

| PARENT, WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING YOUR CHILD? |

For literally decades...I was a volunteer counselor for Orleans Parish Schools, New Orleans area churches and the New Orleans Criminal Courts.
I also was a Reserve Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriif's Deputy, working clandestinely with two different New Orleans Police Chiefs to rid our city and area of illegal drugs and dealers, and to clean up the NOPD, eliminating the "bad apples" from the Department. We were highly successful at doing both. I helped populate Orleans Parish Prison and the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola.
I had some heartbreaking experiences. We lost more people than we saved. And it was very sad and completely unavoidable. If only the parents would have done their jobs. All parents should be responsible mothers and/or fathers, teaching their children to obey the rules, obey our laws and respect other people, their rights and their property.
Parent, rearing your child or children is not the reponsibility of your church, the schools or your governments. Teaching your child or children personal discipline and rearing them properly is your responsibility. It's your job!
I continued my crusade against the "bad guys" on the Mississippi Gulf Coast to the frustration of one ineffective and irresponsible Sheriff and his renegade drug Task Force, causing my contact in DEA to be very concerned about my safety. But threats did not deter me, and I helped populate Mississippi State Prison at Parchman..
One young man in Hancock County had gotten away with cold-blooded murder. The jury members were afraid of him, I think. He got a light sentence, and was put on probation. All law enforcement seemed to be afraid of him. I wasn't. I kept after him and them until I got his parole revoked, and had him put in prison where he belonged. He, like many others, threatened to kill me. I said then and I say now, "Don't talk about it. Come on. Try it. It will not happen. I will not be the one who dies."
How do our young people, your children, become juvenile deliquents and/or criminals? You parents train them to ignore the rules...and, consequently, also ignore or outright break our municipal, county, state and federal laws.
Don't say, "No! I don't." Just answer a few simple questions.
Have you taught your child that "no" means "no?" Have you taught them that they need to earn whatever it is that they want? Have you taught them that they cannot win every competition or game, that there are winners and losers, and they must really work to be a winner? Have you taught them good manners, to always clean up after themselves, to not leave their bikes and other toys lying around on the sidewalk or in the street? Have you taught them to open doors for ladies and older folks, and to take off their caps or hats when they go ondoors? Have you taught them to not yell, scream and holler, disturbing the neighbors? Have you ever stopped in a No Parking Zone to drop your child or children off and lingered a while, talking? Have you ever speeded through a School Zone? Have you ever thrown anything out of your vehicle anywhere on a public street or highway? Do you always drive the Speed Limit, or do you habitually eceed it by 5, 10 or more MPH? Do you ever park in a No Parking or Freight Only Zone or where prohibitive lines are clearly visible? Do you ever park in a Take Out Only, Reserved For Expectant Mothers or Handicap Only spot? Have you ever parked in any spot Reserved for Clergy or anyone else? Do you obey all of the rules of our society and the laws of the land?
I could go on and on, but you get it.
If the answer is "yes" to any or all of those questions You are rearing and training a neighborhood problem child, a future problem student, a juvenile deliquent and'or a real criminal.
When the school calls because of a problem with your child, when they are arrested and/or punished for their rebellious actions...I do not care. No explanations. No excuses. They will be getting exactly what they deserve...and so will you.
Don't like it? I don't care. Upset you? Good. Change.
You teach your children by your actions, by your examples. Make sure they are good ones.
I for one do not intend to have my property, peace, happiness and joy of life destroyed by you and/or your children. If I see you or any of your children breaking the rules or our laws, I will immediately call the proper rules and/or law enforcement authority. You and/or your children get no sympathy from me.
I called Police today to report a father, mother and their two children who were violating clearly posted municipal rules. And I always will.
You think it is unnecessary? I wish it were. But sometimes "the village" (me, you, neighbors) must act when irresponsible and rebellious parents do not do their jobs in accordance with the rules and/or our laws.
You have your one and only chance right now while you still have authority and control over your children. Rear them correctly, or they and you shall suffer the consequences.
I pray God will give you the knowledge, the wisdom and the courage to be a very disciplined, tough, loving and really good parent.

| THERE IS NOBODY MORE FAITHFUL THAN YOUR DOG! |

I remember, and I shall never forget.
When I was a little cotton-topped preschool age boy on a big farm way out in Allen Parish, Louisiana, an old man...who had a faithful old dog as his constant companion...died.
The wake was held at the old man's home with his dog beside his casket. When the hearse came to take the old man's body to the church, the faithful dog ran behind the hearse all of the way to the church. When the pallbeares took the casket inside the church, the dog followed, and stayed by the casket throughout the service. As the funeral procession slowly made its way to the old country graveyard several miles away...the dog had a difficut time keeping up, but the faithful dog ran all of the way, arriving at the graveyard with the hearse. As the pallbearers carried the old man's body in the casket to the gravesite, the dog slowly kept pace. As the old man in the casket was lowered into the ground, the dog stood watching and whimpering. And...after the casket was lowered into the grave and covered with dirt...the old man's faithful dog lay down on the mound of dirt on top of the grave.
Several people tried to coax the dog to come with them, but the faithful dog would not budge, remaining on the grave as everyone else went their ways.
As the days passed, different people went to the graveyard and tried unsuccessfully to lure or catch the dog...and take it home with them. None were successful.
Then..when folks realized the old dog would not desert its post...they began to offer the dog food and water, trying to make friends with it, but the elusive and ever faithful dog would have nothing to do with any of them. The faithful dog had but one interest and one mission, staying on guard for the old man in the ground. Eventually...everyone gave up on the dog, and left it alone.
The faithful dog lay there day and night. For many days that turned into weeks...everytime my father and I would pass that old country graveyard...there was the dutiful dog, lying atop the old man's grave. It was beautiful...but it was so very sad.
Eventually, the old dog died right there where it was lying, and someone went and buried the faithful dog beside the old man's grave. And no one in that community ever complained.
Not since Jesus the Christ died on that cruel cross atop Golgotha's Hill for mankind's sins had I ever known such love and dedication...until my Lynda.
Dog spelled backwards is God. Your dog is faithful, no matter what. I have seen people not feed their dogs, not water them and even be cruel to them. Yet, the dogs remained faithful, friendly and loving towards them.
It is easy for us to say, "I love you." But it is a whole 'nother thing for us to lay our life on the line for those we love. We could all learn from that faithful old dog.
All over this planet...USA military men and women are risking their health, limbs and life for you and me...for our freedom and liberty The least we can do is take time to pray for them and to thank them and their families for their service to our country.

| "DID SOMETHING ELSE HAPPEN?" |

I have been asked by relatives and friends, "Did something else happen other than Lynda dying that you have not told us?" The answer is "yes."
Lynda and I hired our favorite nurse from the hospital's Critical Care ward as Lynda's personal nurse. She helped Lynda here at home during those last days, staying with us around the clock some days and sleeping in the Northeast corner guest bedroom.
Lynda and I loved her dearly, and she loved us. She was like Lynda's daughter or little sister and my second wife. And I mean that nice. There was no immoral, unethical or illegal conduct of any kind on the part of any of us. We just simply loved one another in the pure Biblical sense.
When Lynda had to go back into the hospital for that last time...our loving friend hugged and kissed both of us goodbye, and she returned to her home in a city only a few minutes South of here.
And just before Lynda died...our beautiful little nurse whom we both loved so very much was at home all alone when she committed suicide.
It broke both our hearts.
It was a bit like being shot in the chest with a double barrel .12 gauge shotgun...and, when Lynda died, it was like the second blast had been fired.
I not only so sadly miss my beloved sweet and so precious wife Lynda...I also greatly miss our dear little friend.

| GOOD TIMES ARE BETTER WHEN SHARED! |

I enjoy going out to eat in different restaurants in my home area, as well as in other cities and states, and I like doing a myriad of other things, including shows, festivals and fairs. But I do not enjoy doing them alone all of the time.
I am wanting to roll the little red roadster out of the garage and make a 500 to 800 mile trip right now, but I do not like traveling that distance alone, although I do very much enjoy driving. For me...driving is therapeutic.
I have been connected and introduced recently by family, friends, associates and acquaitances to some very nice and attractive ladies, but none of them will do for me. It takes a particular kind of lady for both of us to mutually enjoy one another's company, and it can be very tiring at times for any lady trying to keep up with me and my schedule.
I would love to have an attractive, nice, kind, patient, sweet, mannerly, friendly, intelligent, loving and loveable lady as a good friend and occasional companion during my little fun forays, daytrips and other adventures.
If you are an available, totally free, very active and energetic lady of legal age who enjoys good food, traveling and meeting and visiting with other people, who thinks you would enjoy my kind of lifestyle (See My Photos album.), and you are sincerely interested in joining me on occasion, please Message me, telling me of your interest, immediately. I also would like to know your personal ambitions, aspirations and life goal. Please be openly honest and very direct.
And please tell me what gives you pleasure and what makes you happy...because, if you become my friend and companion, I make you this promise: Your pleasure will be my pleasure, and your happiness will be my happiness.
I apologize for being so publicly direct, but I am tired of going everywhere alone.

I talk with God every awake moment all day...every day...around the clock...24 hours a day...7 days a week. We are constant companions, and He knows I know it.
I know it all too well. That little voice that we call conscience...that is God's Holy Spirit communicating through our mind's ear with we mortals.
God doesn't just meet us in a church building or a synagogue. He is literally everywhere with us. We simply have to acknowledge His presence.
God is the omnipotent, all powerful and supernatural perfect gentlemen. He doesn't speak to us unless spoken to by us...very respectfully and reverently.
Say, "Hello, Heavenly Father." God is here with you...right now. He is ready to communicate with you and to help you in any way He can.
Don't disappoint Him. Talk with Him.
I do. I couldn't make it through a day or night without Him.
Try it. It works. And you will love it!
Let us love God...and love one another.
