Death takes to the restless soul like smoke to the lung, the careless cling to the long last night.
It is sinew etched in the deep killian light flashing only for the breathless few.
Words are bedfellow magic to the seventh price.
Death is promised the writer's due.

Hi sweetie. I know, I miss you, too. I couldn't get our mutal friend to tell you how bereft I've been feeling - said I had to start blogging again. What a task master!
Please let us know how everything goes tomorrow. I'm sorry you have to spend your time worrying and feeling crappy. My thoughts are there, with you, my dear, dear Chelle.

A task master indeed, but I am glad that it has prompted you to blog again. Your work is amazing laney jane...and you know that I am no expert on language, but I feel words, experience them almost. Wish I could write the way I feel it; anyway your writing makes the blogs a more balanced place....besides I feel like us women are being ganged up on...and our mutual friend is getting a bit big for the britches if ya know what I mean!
I will let you know as soon as I know something regarding my appointment.

Only the masters like you can do such beautiful piece. I really like reading your posts.
I have to re-read this several times to get to know what is between the lines, and I am intrigued..
Have a nice weekend.

This is brilliant.
And it's Dylan.

In the light of everything happening to my mother, I find this poem bittersweet, as I find my mother in the grip of her long last night, lasting longer than she or we ever thought it would.
This is raw. And amazing.
I'm dyslexic. I scream Ho Dog instead of Oh God in the throes of passion.

Killian is the name of a beer. Killians Red always reminds me of that deep amber bar light that graces the night of the rare magic we sometimes have after a long long drink.
You are too kind, Misty. But I'm just glad to be writing again.

Quite often (I am embarrassed to say) I don't know what the words mean myself. Master - no. Portal to the poem, maybe.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, too!

I felt so sad after reading your post, especially having just written this poem. I'm quitting. I woke up thinking of your mother this morning and I just knew.
Thank you.

Death is the ultimate for everyone. But its footstep is only audible to the "restless soul".

Death-conjurers...those brave enough to walk the grey area where inspiration meets with human desolation.
Some come back.
