Not easy to find someone you can trust these days.

This reminds me of the story of two BBC camera men who were out in the
Savannah filming lions for a natural history programme. While they
were filming one of the lions started to walk towards them, growling
and lashing its tail. The two men began to back away slowly, but the
lion kept on advancing, its growl turning into a roar. One of the men
stopped and began to change his shoes,

"What are you doing?" said the first camera man.
"I'm putting on my running shoes," replied the second.
"Are you crazy?" said the first, "You'll never out run a lion!"
"I don't have to," said the second, "I only have to out run YOU."

The title of this story has become a proverb in our folk - "A Friend in Need Is a Friend Indeed". I love it.

Hope you're already rested after the trip.

Hi RP,

You are one of my favorite people here in bloggsville and I have missed your presence. It sounds like you are going through a bit of stress and exhaustion lately. So I hope you get to feeling better soon. Your fellow bloggers are here for you!

The Bear story reminds me it's time to work on my tree climbing skills. You know that playing dead trick doesn't always work.

Hmmm...what have I learned? Always carry honey (in a bear-shaped container) when you are in the forest. But seriously, good friends never desert you when you truly need them. Unless of course you let a bear eat all the honey and your friend just happens to be a woman with a honey fetish.

If you can't convince them, confuse them!

rest is an oasis i'm looking forward to having
at this point, SL. After the trip, my baby got sick so the stress
has piled up. He had contracted some bacteria and currently
on antibacterial treatment. Hopefully, he'll recover soon.
Best regards.

I learned the exact story in an English textbook of my junior middle school. And what touches me is that being dead sometimes might not be so bad.

hey! a great story for me too.
And I learned that bears are obviousley not died out *gg*

This is not a matter of course, because here in Austria there are exactly 2 bears at the moment and one was shot by a nervous hunter ...
Until now Im lucky not made the experiance that a friend left me in
a dangerous situation.
