Get enough sleep--that's half the battle won. I remember my boys getting feverish when they cut their first teeth, too.

Hay, talk about stress--am overloaded myself, what with all the homework the boys bring home.

I'm dyslexic. I scream Ho Dog instead of Oh God in the throes of passion.

Ana, i've missed you!
With my baby like this, i'm lucky if i can get enough
sleep. Oftentimes at night, I would wake up to cuddle
him and make sure that his head is elevated to ease his
stuck up nose.

Im thinking, when he starts going to school, i'll be
a tutor mommy too, like you. That will be an extra
load to carry

They actually sell elevated triangular pillows here in Manila--let me know if you can't find one where you are, and if I see one here, I'll send you one.

You can try buying Vaporin in Mercury--they're these little sachets with mentholated little towelettes inside you hang up in the room. The vapor/scent eases congestion, and you don't have to worry about any of it getting into baby's eyes, like you do with Vicks Vaporub.

(Again, if you can't find any, let me know)

Now that you've mentioned it, i was reminded
of the Tai Chi DVD that my hubby keeps. One time, we did the
Tai chi while watching the DVD and boy, did i sweat!

Thanx for the reminder, Rod.

I've never tried the gym in my life. . . The most
of aerobics i have done was in Physical Education during college.
I can't do kickboxing either for medical reasons. But i walk a lot.
From where i am, any place is almost accesible so a ride isn't really required except on occasions when i'm really running late or i don't want to sweat

thanx for the well-wish, daph. take care.

You know, the only thing i sort of regret living
in Tawi-Tawi is we don't have as much things to buy and fun places
to go to unlike if we live in key cities like Manila.
Although, basic commodities here are cheap and aplenty.
When hubby was still working in Manila i often go there and thats the only time i have access to luxury and "pretty things" in life. lol

The closest i've got to elevated triangular pillows is by putting
two small pillows under my baby's head. How i wish we had MOA here
and even Mercury drugstore.

Thanks for your offer and i would not be the one to decline such
generosity from you.

I know music helps me when I'm stressed. Laughter and friends also helps immensely. I caught a nasty cold a month ago and I think it was because I wasn't eating or sleeping well at all and I was worried about my sister and missing my girlfriend terribly.

If you can't convince them, confuse them!

Watch your diet, try to get much rest regardless of all the obstacles that may come in and think positive. Hard but possible. All best purple, to you and your family

Hello, Dean!

I hate having colds but colds seem to love me. No amounts of
Vitamin C helps keep them at bay, i noticed. Well anyway, at least
i'm loving my hoarse voice now. I have a very soft voice and hearing
me now is a bit different. lol

I know nuts about babies so I can't help you there but I agree with MM that sleep is important. Says she who sleeps an average of 4 hours daily ...

But a good way to de-stress is meditation. I do it in a quiet place and work on breath control till I am totally relaxed. Clear the mind. Do not think of anything else but your breath and focus on relaxing each part of your body. Then, suddenly ...

zzzzz

In the immortal words from 6th Sense ... I see stupid people.

ha ha ha! It's amazing the lady has still a
sharp mind with only 4 hours sleep average.

Speaking of meditation, hubby always tell me to take
a deep breath and relax every muscles in me. Problem is,
when my body aches i can feel pain on my left side when
i take a deep breath. I have gone to a doctor for a check up
but cannot see anything wrong based on my X-rays. But on normal days,
i don't feel any pain at all on my left side. It must be some pulled muscle of sort which caused that, i don't really know.

But anyways, it is a good advice to have a meditation. Thank you.

Take some time exclusively for yourself. Listen to some soothing music while you meditate yourself into a world of serenity. Talk yourself into a calm, relaxed feeling. Make sure you realize that what doesn't get done today will be there tomorrow. You need to take some time for yourself and realize that not everything needs to be perfect today. Get some deep sleep. Try some lavender on your pillow and some chamomile tea to relax.

As far as your little one; it sounds like he is teething and this is where the fever is coming from along with the stuffed up nose. Poor little guy Again try some lavender on his pillow and some eucalyptus will also help.

Once you get some rest along with some positive thinking, your body will follow and you will start to feel better.

Hope this helps!

tai chi is really a good one because it takes your mind out of the stress cause. I was in it for a while when I was really in bad shape last year and couldn't sleep well anymore. It did help, but I guess you may pick up anything that frees your mind a bit of the troubles.

Can't help much with the baby, but I did hear my sisters telling that babies get fever when teeth are coming.

Nice to see you back

darling, my weekend is devoted to my son. During weekdays
when i am at work, he is left under the care of a relative so i took it
to myself to attend to his needs on weekend. Now, tell me am i too hard
on myself? But i do wish i had a spa and a massage on days that i am
dead tired and stressed out. Hey, thanx for dropping by.

I always wanted to perform the Tahajud prayer.
With my baby, i find it difficult though coz i'm afraid that
he'll wake up when i'm in the middle of my prayer. It's not
a reason though for me to not perform it.
