I guess that's one difference between a true friend and a false friend, a true friend is being brutally honest in hopes of improving you as a person while a false friend is just being cruel. Btw Ever since I was child my parents and others have told me I'm honest to point of tactlessness. So does that make me everybody's "true friend"?

to be honest.. it truly hurts when friends criticize you..  even though u knew that they're right!  and even if u knew they're just being honest... it still hurts anyways..  'aminin'..  ^:-Jhave a good day pretty sis..   JuSt An OrDiNaRy GiRl WiTh XtRa OrDiNaRy DrEaMs!

The truth may be brutal, but the delivery doesn't have to be. True friends would know how to get the truth across in a way that would minimize the pain, because they wouldn't want to add to the hurt. I'm dyslexic. I scream Ho Dog instead of Oh God in the throes of passion.

i agree with ana, true friends know very well how to say things in a way that you wont get hurt, or just make " amin na lang if you're at fault " or just accept your fault and say sorry...accepting your fault help ease away the pain and hurt you're feeling.......... have a great day lei !!!

hello amiga lei i agree with both ana and far i read this and didn't leave a comment because they both to me have the right solution to this thought some friends we have are just that way. they are brutally honest and thats another reason we have them as friends. we see past the rough exterior and into their heart. i have a friend/brother who is this way. sometimes what he says is so wrong and i call him on it  but inside i know he say`s those things to get a reaction from me.god bless you amiga and all your loved ones i hope your feeling better and all is well with hubby and your baby have a wonderful weekend filled with peace love happiness hugs dan

Reality sometimes do hurt, but it takes a true person to point that out to us simply because they care. It doesn't have to be painful though, the way they tell us of our wrong.
