the enchanted forest

it has been said that we all possess an enchanted forest--how does one possess such a marvel--shall we explore --
simply this could be a play on words--that it could be--yet is it--
when you hear the word enchanted what is the first thing that comes to your mind--not thinking about the word--the first image--is it magical--does it make you sigh--or do you say enchanted forest she has flipped her lid--enchanted forest indeed--i have no enchanted forest--oh but you do--we all do--

to shed some light onto this shall we use the term--the within---for we all do possess this as well--what is she talking about this is not making any sense at all--well that could be--so shall we explore and see where the two phrases take us--who knows it could be a magical journey--an awakening of sorts if you will-

how is the reality of life so evident to a --how is it that a tends to see life more clearly than an adult--hmm--do they possess a sixth sense that allows them to attune to our moods--hmmm--for if you ask a how they view adults well that could and should be an eye opening wham here you go--stodgy--dull --always busy--no fun---and on and on--test this for yourself if you have doubts---then absorb the finding--do not anal it to death for it defeats the purpose and well just proves the statement over and over again--

the within is simply that a like quality that we all possess--yet do we allow the within to enjoy all that life has to give us freely--yes freely --think about that one a minute--just a minute--

could she be talking about all the wonderfully carefree and innocent qualities -spontaneous laughter--the squeal of delight--the awe of discovery--and on and on--do we as adults truly allow the within us to be nurtured or do we stifle it and not allow it to play--hmm which is it--for the answer is different for us all--

my wish for all is to frolic within your enchanted forest--not just today but everyday--what a magical journey --enjoy

peace

Hi Kel, thanks for your wonderful(as always)thought provoking post
The child within usI think there is indeed that child still in each
of us..hidden away for most of us by life. The bills, the job, the
family, etc; Maybe we tend to forget the innocence, trust, fun times
of our childhood because we become mired in a difficult or busy life.
Sad isn't it? We should always make the time(if need be)to go to our
enchanted forest and discover our child within all over again. I used
to visit my enchanted forest often with my son..I am blessed knowing
he never saw me as dull, boring, too busy, too tired..etc; rather as
his mom AND his friend

Thank you for helping me reminisce and leave here smiling and happy~
for I have visited my enchanted forest for a little while. Blessings~
Nancy~

Me however, not so much though I am learning to let go a bit more

Nice post

Beautifully told - this idea and with power and simplycity. thank you for reminding me.
Once at a party I was bored (and offended by the gossip so I left the dinner table and went out to the garden where the children who are more my type of people were.
AAfter a while as we were crouching and looking at stuff and "You know whatting each other with all sorts of kid facts one of them turned his head , looked at me quizzically and askedd "Are you a kid ?..."
I was never as pleased at any other compliment in my life.
    Thank you Kel.
greetings flame--you are welcome --the reminder was given to me as well--so i thought i would just share the wealth--at times we do tend to get bogged down in the hoopla of the world ---

William Blake wrote about innocence, experience and the return to innocence. I think as adults, we can return to innocence, with a deeper understanding of what it means to look at the world anew with a sense of wonder. To see the world as it is--without preconceived notions of what we think the world means...

A Dutch philosopher once wrote about a "secret place" which echoes your enchanted forest.

    Wishing you happiness

greetings misty--thank you for your comment---i agree we can and should return to innocence with a deeper understanding of viewing the world----what a wonderful world that would be if we all did just that----

CHILDREN ARE SO OPEN TO BELIEF
NOT AFRAID TO DREAM
THEY HAVE NOT HAD THERE DREAMS DASHED THUS FAR
IF WE COULD BE MORE OPEN TO JUST BELIEVE IN OUR OWN DREAMS
WOULDN'T IT BE WONDERFUL?
TO BELIEVE I CAN
I WILL
INSTEAD OF I CANNOT

Let me touch your heart with gentleness
of mind body and spirit

When I hear the word 'enchanted' I think excitedly about the unknown, about something so beautiful and mysterious that one can hardly imagine it unless they let 'the child within' out and it is able to grasp the mystery of it all...'the child within' is really one's true self that doom and gloom has pushed away and covered up with trial and error.
I believe that WE can all let that 'child within' out if only we didn't dwell so much on what has happened and if only we would look at what life deals us through rose colored glasses...
hmmmmmmmm, I think, I think too much.
I, myself, know that I have 'PeterPan syndrome'

peace 2 U & to me & 2 all inbetween

Oh , yes take me away to the enchanted forest to the land of mystical wonder, to play and laugh with the fairies and the little people of whom so many forgot. To roam freely with all animals and nature where all is one.
To never grow up or grow old-to keep the inner child alive always.
Take me away to far off places that are in my heart forever.
thanks.
take care
Sylvia
