It's getting there - I think

Our realtor suddenly remembered last night that we needed a well inspection on our property. Since she was late in getting this to us, she offered to pay over half the price of the inspection. That helped. Just found out the inspector has come and gone, hopefully the results are favorable.

We had the inspection on our, hopefully, soon to be new house. Very few issues, and all minor. The inspector said it was the cleanest inspection he had done.

The current owners are waiting for a list of required repairs, so we will ask that they clean the furnace and repair a crawl-space vent. The rest of the stuff is no big deal.

The house is a bit larger inside than both Dunkelwolf and I remembered. Things will work out for most of the furniture. Just have to do something with the bedroom. I think it would be difficult to sleep in a bright red room. The room is currently decorated beautifully, but all our stuff is green and blue. A red room with green and blue bedding and green rugs, nahhhhh, don't think so. Getting some new paint.

The red kitchen looks great. Not much real wall space, counters are black slate, cabinets are black. Looks great.

The living room is painted a light green, not the best shade. They added decorative panels to the walls to help cover cords for lighting. I can deal with those. That room will be the most awkward since it will have to be used both for an office and a living room with fireplace. Have to look into some kind of divider panel which will unfortunately connect in the middle of the window. We will figure something out.

That fireplace, hmmm, really looking forward to it. We will use that room for playing Dungeons and Dragons so all the dragon books will be there. Candles too.

Just want to get the move done so we can get out of this holding pattern and enjoy the new house.

Sanity and normalcy are over-rated

Demented..........well congrats on your sale (crossing fingers well inspection is ok) and congrats on your new home

Paint is cheap........sometimes you have to look beyond that, I know we did moving into our house....it was like a patch work quilt lol....living room/kitchen were blue, spare room peach, kiddo's room lime green and ours light pink and burgundy......needless to say about $300 later and some good ole elbow grease the colors flow now. Besides always nice to make the house.....your home with your own touch

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that all goes smoothly
