It occured to me today that I could MAKE my OWN coffin! WHY spend an arm and a leg to bury my arms and legs? But my NEXT project after coffin construction would be to secure a FREE burial plot. Perhaps the US Park Service would donate a plot for me in one of their parks> I could then go to work on my tombstone. It need not be fancy. A rock would do. Any ideas?

Why not just get cremated?
With the chemicals in your system, you could probably sell tickets.

I have thought about THAT...but here in the US, an URN is required even if I don't WANT one. So if I go THIS route, I will need to construct my own urn instead of a coffin. JUST so that somebody can dump my ashes out of it into a POPPY field somewhere.

I got my burn permit years ago it's cheaper & my ashes can be scattered- no need to spend thousands on a coffin or burial plot.

That's PERFECT! No epitah even NEEDED. People shall know who is buried there by the from the BACK on the monument. Maybe you could visit my grave once in a while to comb the ?

Where can I go to get a burn permit in West Virginia? Maybe I don't need to make an urn after all!

I might be wrong, but I imagine an urn would be a lot smaller than a coffin.
Anyway, don't worry about that. I'll smoke you.

OK. Afterwards, just scatter my ashes around the opium poppies and water them a bit so that they will grow nicely!

Hey what's wrong with a black bin liner and put you out on rubbish day...everything taken care of...No Coroner to pick you up (the rubbish men did that) no burial (you get compacted and dumped at the local refuse tip to rot into the earth). Hey and what does a plastic bin liner cost? Just please remember to die the day before rubbish collection or you could get a bit smelly. See I'm good a recycling too.

Cremation is just as expensive as any other here in the US........just make yourself a pine box.......you dont have to have a Funeral director prepare you either..........just find someone who will nail the box shut.........well, your dead maybe just wrapped in a blanket and buried......
Anyway, you dont have to do the 'traditional' expensive stuff.

I THOUGHT about that...but I am concerned about the large number of people that would become murder suspects after I had gone missing for a period of time. And then there's those books that would be written claiming that my body was hidden where Jimmy Hoffa was disposed of!

You might want to be buried in a glacier. When it melts one day you can return back to life. Be careful of freezer burn though. Ziploc freezer bags should do the trick!
If you can't convince them, confuse them!

Now HERE'S a new idea! Maybe I can be the new ICEMAN! (Looking for a copper axe to be buried with.) Would YOU be willing to drop my DEAD BODY into a deep glacier crevace that won't melt for 5,000 years EVEN with global warming? (I'm thinking Antarctica...up in the mountains away from the ocean).

I think those are good options. Sort of like a psuedo reincarnation. What is making u think of death Debutante? You're not going to get your tax stimulus check as early as you hoped? I have been giving this option a LOT of thought. Medical students will pay 15 cents for a fresh cadaver. But before I sign on the dotted line, I just want to be sure that the body snatchers are not OVERLY EAGER when checking for a pulse!
