As trembling fingers Dig a tiny hole I vision new hope Promises made whole. Unopened doorways - For the past held tight As clinging ivies Blooming in the night. Soft incantation A murmured prayer As I envision You standing there. Unbroken whimpers Hiding unshed tears No justifying Life's unspent years Eyes closed unseeing Yet revealing all Come stand beside me Let there be no wall.
