I've had that happen before, lol. I'm so computer-challenged, I hate when I accidentally press a button and can't figure out what I did.

Looks like you may have accidentally set it to an international or localized layout. If you're using Windows, go to the control panel and check the Regional and Language Options settings. There may also be a setting in the driver software that will let you change the keyboard layout. I hope this helps Bill

Also, not to get you upset, but there is a virus that does that as well If it is don't panic. I think you can remove it easily too, should you have one. Not even saying that you do lol Confused yet? lol

Keyboards have their own microprocessor that communicates with the computer using a serial connection. The keyboard appears to be "confused" about which key is actually being pressed. Or it may be that the receiving computer is "confused". Like so many other things in the Microsoft world, a shutdown and power-off restart may work wonders. If you have an infrared or USB keyboard, and restarting the system does not work, try using a traditional cabled keyboard. (Shut down and power off your system before changing the keyboard.) If a different keyboard has the same problem, you'll know that the issue is not in the keyboard, but in the computer. My guess is that a restart or a new keyboard will do the trick.

Sorry I do not have time to reply individually. Thank you all for replying.
It had to do with Vista, it has a keyboard symbol on the task bar which I must have hit accidently. My daughter figured it out, thank goodness!
DB, this is a brand new puter, if it requires a dumpster already I will be giving up puters forever!
