Corruption Scandal !!!!!!!!!!
The image of the World Cup Organization technically and laughable, has been besmirched by the FBI revelations. It has been stamped with a giant red band labelled "CORRUPTION"

Why did the US go after FIFA?

The Americans have outlined a case that sounds like a mafia movie script, with allegations of fraud, racketeering and money laundering over a period of more than 20 years Several senior FIFA Officials are among the defendants facing extradition from Europe , South America and the Caribbean
These arrests were the breaking of a dam, and now years of finger pointing at FIFA are flooding into the public consciousness

Qatar beat the US and several other nations in the bidding for the 2022 world cup If the 2018 and 2022 world cup go ahead in Russia and Qatar respectively , they too will carry indelible questions

There is also a question against South Africa, who hosted the 2010 world cup soccer...........SA Officials bribing Officials for the bid ....well we just have to wait and see ......auditors from SA gave the bid a thumbs up for no bribery, however they welcomed the investigations

Despite the scandal rocking the FIFA, its President, who has held the top job for 17 years appears set to maintain his grip on power
FIFA President Sepp Blatter, may talk about the need to "regain your trust" that ship has very much sailed

Let history never forget the absolute shame and disgrace FIFA brought upon the beautiful game it was supposed to be fostering
Another important point to ponder on..........the winners of the World Cup Soccer Tournaments ...were they really the winners?
