KILL SWITCH app reduces smart phone thefts.

KILL SWITCH is an app that is developed by Samsung some time before that can effectively discourage thieves stealing smart phones. This allows the owners to remotely disable or kill their phone , reducing it from a valuable piece of electronic equipment to a plastic brick, which is technically called as bricking.
A study published by Consumer Reports says the number of mobile smart phone thefts which stood at 3.1 million annually, drastically came down to 2.1 million in US, after this app is chosen and enabled. California and Minnesota have already made it compulsory for all the smart phone owners to opt for this app.
