Komal Mohamed of FOOD FORWARD app feeds 600,000, recovered 10,007,991 lbs food so far.

HATS OFF TO THIS LADY Ms KOMAL MOHAMED OF CALIFORNIA,US.
While returning from her college some 3 years back, Ms Komal Mohamed was accosted by a hungry man who sought money to have food. She was quick to take him to a nearby restaurant and paid satiate his hunger, when suddenly it clicked in her mind to come up with an app. She and her friends floated Food Forward app and gave wide publicity over US calling upon every one to inform through it if any one has surplus/left over food that can be spared. On getting informed, it sends a vehicle to pick up such food and caters to the needy. The response is so huge that so far it could collect 10,077,991 lbs food that is fed to over 600,000 hungry persons. Besides, food, it accepts vegetable and fruits too. This year, it is able to feed 100,000 persons a month in Southern California.
