Paris : The city of romance to lose its love locks.

Love locks has a traditional origin from an adult romantic movie of Rome in 2006 and it symbolising locking love to eternity moved fast to France. Soon some bridges, most importantly the one at Pont des Arts at Paris has 700,000 locks fixed by couples making the bridge reel under the huge weight of locks equalling to the combined weight of 20 elephants. Looking at the crumbling status of the bridge; the Paris City Council decided to break all the locks and free the bridge of the weight of the locks, keeping in view of the safety of commuters. A campaign, No Love Locks by Lisa Anselmo is spreading awareness to preserve the heritage structures and see safety is not played with.
