Indian origin doctor reattaches head of a man to his spine ripped off in an accident.

In a rare surgery, Dr Anant Kamat, an Indian origin neurosurgeon successfully reattached the head of Tony Cown of Newcastle city, an accident victim that was ripped off from his spinal card in a car accident in September 2014 in Britain. Dr Anant, using a metal plate and bolts reattached his skull to his spine in a rare surgery this Sunday. The patient now hopes to go back home soon; despite his heart stopped functioning immediately after the accident and the doctors described his injuries as unsurvivable. Till the surgery, his head was held by just muscle and tissue as the connecting bones got totally fractured.

Hats off to Dr Kamat & his team.
