Indian PM Naredra Modi joins Sina Weibo of China, gets nixed reaction,3.5million read in an hour.


Net savy Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi signed up for Sina weibo, owned by Alibaba, the Twitter version of China ahead of his May 14 China visit and his maiden post saying Hello to China, expressing his eagerness to interact with Chinese friends through Weibo was viewed by 3.5 million, though it received mixed reaction with regards to Arunachal Pradesh , the bone of contention for both countries, as well China-Pakistan ties. His evocation on Buddhism card is sure to attract Buddhists who constitute 18% of Chinese population. This micro blogging portal has 500 million subscribers of which 150 million are active, but the PM of China is yet to sign up for it and with Modi joining it, there are posts asking Chinese PM as to when he will sign up. Modi has 12 million followers on Twitter and 28 million on Facebook.
