West Bengal cricketer Ankit Keshri dies of collision on criket field.

In another on field tragic incident, after Philip Huge of Australia that took the life of this cricketer last November; a budding cricketer from West Bengal, India Ankit Keshri died in hospital today, after being hospitalised for 3 days. This 20 year old right hander captained the Bengal Under 19 team in Cooch Behari trophy. He sustained an injury after he rushed to take a high catch at sweep cover , as left arm pacer Sourav Mondal too ran on his follow through. Though it was a freak accident, he was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed due to cardiac failure today. In what considered to be a cruel twist, he was not even in the playing eleven but came in as 12th man to the team at Salt Lake, Kolkota, to replace a player who took break.

What a cruel fate? May his soul rest in peace. Condolences to the bereaved family.
