Zhou Qunfei, now 45 started her career as a factory worker till she started her own glass company in 2003. Her Hunan based company Lens Technology makes touch sensitive glass covers for mobile phones, computers and cameras. The products of her company constitute 21% of the smartphones of the world, that include Apple, Samsung. She employs 80,000 employees and as per Bloomberg the revenue was $3.3 billion in 2013 and Fortune Magazine put her present wealth at $8 million. She is one among the 300 of the Billion $ club in mainland China, but topper among women.
