Scotland court orders Indian origin woman to pay Pound Sterling 1 for stealing 120,000 Pounds.

Satnam Kaur, 31, an Indian origin woman of Glasgow, who worked with Royal Bank of Scotland, who was convicted of siphoning of $ 180,780 and transferred the amount back to India in 20111, is jailed for an year. So far nothing abnormal. In their investigations, the investigators found no money any where in her home land. So the Scotland Court ordered her to pay a nominal fine of Pound Sterling 1 and be deported to India. A Crown office spokesman said that this type of penalty is awarded when a convict has no assets and the convict will be life long financial imprisonment, that in essence means that the convict would be repaying all that stolen money from her earnings of remaining life.

Sounds different.
