Boxing Day wishes.

December 25, Christmas is over and now is the Boxing Day to celebrate. Boxing Day is generally observed on the next day of Christmas when servants and trades people receive gifts from employers, in the form of gift box. This is observed in many common wealth countries, lead by UK, Canada, HongKong, Barbados, Britain, Australia, New Zeland, Kenya, South Africa, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago etc It is generally a bank holiday in most countries. South Africa observes it as a Day of Goodwill, while some countries observing it as St Stephen Day, with Ireland observing it as Day of Wren. In some EU nations like Germany, Poland, The Netherlands and Scandinavia; it is observed as Second Christmas Day.It dates back to 1830, when England observed it on the first week day after Christmas, according holiday to postal workers etc which their bosses offered gift boxes to them. In UK, Canada etc it is a Shopping Holiday, like the Black Friday in US. Foot ball and rugby matches dominate games in UK on this day.

My best wishes to every one on this day. Please give gifts to deserving class to the extent you can, it is time you re-organise your shelves, replace.

Main routes on British railway network shut down today surprisingly.
