NASA emails wrench to space station - First ever emailed hardware to space.

NASA for the first time emailed a new wrench as an emailed digital file for the on board 3D printer of the International Space Centre. A request from ISS astronaut Barry Wilmore for a a racheting socket wrench led the Made In Space team to design the tool after which it sent digital printing file to NASA which uploaded it to the station. Once the digital arrived at ISS, Wilmore fired up the printer which churned up 20 different parts which the astronaut assembled in to the exact wrench he requested . This is the first time that a emailed hardware was ever sent to space.

Great marvel of a job.
