Lessons from Lord Buddha for modern day world.

The life of Buddha presents a tasteful platter of lessons that one can adopt in life. There are many shining examples of Buddha, we in the present day modern world can imbine and follow. Here are some of the features of worth following.

* Buddha epitomizes the concept of finding ones own way. He developed his own way by trial and error.
* Buddha was born Prince, brought up in a palace but he renunciated all physical appeasements in life. He kept digging, experimented and toiled to find the truth.
* He traveled a lot, networked with people, believed in the concept of sharing knowledge.
* He believed that experimenting is the ideal way to find truth, not to buy concepts from others, be not dogmatic, but try to find out.
* He felt that riches can come and go, but truth in the heart will not.He stressed the need to differentiate between worthy and unworthy.
* He emphasized the concept of living in harmony with nature.
* He stressed the need to have patience and persistent in our efforts to reach our goals that we set for ourselves.
* He recommended the habit and skill of forgiving others to clear the mental blockage and live peacefully.
* He emphasized that joy and peace are passing clouds and we should not lose focus on our determined goals.

I am not a Buddhist, still I find the preachings of Lord Buddha having great impact on our lives.
