Barack Obama shares his experience with racism, says was mistaken for a valet, driver.

US President Barack Obama told People magazine in an interview that was out today that being a black man, he was mistaken for a valet and waiter. First Lady Michelle Obama said that her husband was mistaken for a waiter once in a black tie party, asked to get coffee. Another revelation she made was, once she went as First Lady to Target, where a fellow shopper asked her to get something from a shelf. Obama narrated his experiences as black and travails in getting a cab being a black.

It is astonishing to know that the First Lady could not be identified; with in countries like India spouses of VIPs are guarded by black cat commandos, who take care to see none can be near them while shopping.
