DID JESUS VISIT INDIA?

Did Jesus visit India? It is a controversial subject as opinions vary on this. Here are few points related to this.

* There are 18 years that have no account in New Testament. They are called as silent years or lost years or missing years of Jesus Christ.
* The phrase lost years of Jesus is encountered in esoteric literature.but not commonly used in scholarly literature, since Jesus was presumed or probably worked as a carpenter in Galilee from the age of 12 to 30 and so they are not lost years, he died in Calvary.
* In 19th and 20th centuries theories began to emerge that in between the ages of 12 and 30, Jesus visited India.
* Louis Jacolliot compared the lives of Lord Krishna and Jesus Christ and felt it could not be a coincidence that the two stories have many similarities in many of the finer details; in his book La Bible Dans llende Vie de lazeus Christna.
* Levi H Dowling, in the book Acquarian Gospel on Truth, mentioned that Christ visited India, Tibet, Persis, Egypt etc
* But Marcus Borg reputed this thought saying that it has no foundation to believe.
* Modern teachings have drawn some parallel between the teachings of Jesus and Buddha.
* According to Mirza Ghulam Agmed, founder of Ahmediyas said that Jesus died in Kashmir, India at the age of 120.
* Holger Kersten, a German popularised the subject in his Christ lived in India.
* Late Sri Satya Sai baba of Puttaparti, India too mentioned several times in his discourses that Jesus visited India and He was named Isa here.

Well, the opinions are divergent, with every one sticking to his/her own ground. So only Thy Lord knows the truth, like Lord Krishna and Lord Buddha.
