MODI's NYC VENUE SOLD OUT FOR September 28, 2014.


The news is that 20,000 capacity venue at Madison Square Garden MSG) stadium in NYC from where India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to address the Indian diaspora community on September 28, 2014 is fully sold out and over subscribed. Those who are unlucky to be among those who didn't succeed in being chosen for 18,000 free tickets made available through the PM's web portal, would have to settle down for watching his live broadcast speech at NY Times Square. Those lucky to have been chosen to get entry in to the stadium can expect to get the tickets by the end of this week.

Modi arrives in US on September 27 to address the United Nations General Assembly and he leaves NYC for Washington on September 29 to address a long awaited and much looked out summit meeting with US President Barack Obama. There is an unprecedented excitement among the Indo-American community, as this visit is coming after 9 years of US ban imposed on his for his alleged role in anti-muslim pogrom of 2002.

The Indian American Community Foundation is leaving no stone unturned to see more way is left for letting the lndian community participate in these events. Anand Shah, spokesman of this organisation says arrangements are being made to broadcast live, stream it online in sub titles, with audio translation, as it is going to be the largest ever gathering to hear a foreign leader speak from American soil.

This event will be preceded by spectacular laser shows, holograms of India's historical lumineries and live folk dances. The emecees for this festivities will be Miss America 2014 Nina Davuluri, the first Indo-American to win that crown and Hari Sreenivasan, a. PBS Hour Weekend anchor. The dias at the event will be shared by America's most important political leaders which show cases the potential relations across the boarder.
