To my Good Friend Miss Loan Tran... NAMASTE / NAMASHKAR IS BACK.. THANKS to EBOLA.

I dedicate this post to loanut- Miss Loan Tran (Greenforever); the most awesome Miss Viet; one of the few friends with whom I interact and chat. She is well known by being an avid blogger, who diligently replies every one who responds on her blogs; besides she adding inputs and offering valuable comments on other's blogs. She is one lady with a tough grit; who can tackle any number persons in chat rooms; like a SATHAVADHANAM expert (one who can handle even 100 persons at a time and answer). In cricket parlance, she is like a bowler who with googglies can take any wicket or like a batsman who can hit any ball who ever bowls it. She is too soft who doesn't need to be handled by her belan; but she can be too tough who needs to be stroked and pulped by her stick. She has a penchant to choose best quotes, religious anectodes, pictures; with a zeal and right prowess to poetry, verses and go back down memory lane to her school days and not withstanding to express her patriotism as a Viet national by explaining about traditional dresses. She has very few enemies, rather distractors , but only on religious discussions with offence to none. If this is her personality; she is no less in her career by being a multifaceted all rounder employer;besides being a good bike rider.

One thing that caught my attention in her is her interest about India, it's culture, traditions, people, places, with a profound zeal to visit India, be a good guest to Mrs RV and Mr RT.
Sensing her interest, I am dedicating this blog to her.

It is a tradition in India to welcome visitors with folded hands, which is termed as NAMASTE or NAMASHKAR; with this being beyond any religious tags. It is like shake hand, hug, Salam, fair la bise/beso (cheek kissing) followed else where in the world.
But NAMASTE of India is unique to the extent that it totally avoids the physical skin to skin touch between the parties.

Starting from hand shake to cheek, kissing; there is an element of risk in the form of contact emitted infections. Way bavk in 2009 when H1N1 took heavy toll of humanbeings; hand shake and cheek kissing came for a flak. Like wise, with Ebola causing sensation, with it's devasting human toll, one again the contact risks came to fore; with a global call for every one to go NAMASTE or NAMASHKAR. Even African countries where Ebola is rampant, this way of greeting by folded hands is being practiced.

WELCOME TO INDIA Miss LOAN TRAN.
NAMASTE INDIA.
