A little bit about, The Muffler
The word used by automobile professionals for the 'Silencer'
is Muffler.
A muffler consists of a number of compartments. When the exhaust gases from the motor car engine pass through them, the compartments in the muffler are so arranged that the sound waves cancel each other out resulting in the sound being absorbed.
The muffler also contains a thick layer of fine fibres, which absorbs the sound.
