ATTACK IN GURDASPUR POLICE STATION....


GurdaspurPunjab/India In an attack in Punjab early on Monday morning, terrorists opened fire at Gurdaspur police station. One terrorist has been killed and four others are holed up inside the police station in Dinanagar in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab. Firing is still on. The terrorists are dressed in Army uniform.

# Total death toll so far: Seven policemen inside the police station killed, 2 inmates who were in the lockup dead. Separately, 6 civilians have also been killed.

# No group has taken responsibility of the attack so far. However, the modus operandi of the attack is similar to the ones that have taken place in Jammu and Kashmir in the recent months.

# They hijacked a Maruti car by injuring a restaurant owner and drove it to reach the Dinanagar police station. Terrorists are said to have first attacked a state roadways bus and then entered the police station.

Rajive. it is learnt that the terrorists numbering around 10 to 15 came in the morning around 4.30 am and first they shot the dhaba owner, then one car owner, wounded him, and took his car , attacked one passenger bus, incurring many, laid bombs on the rail track, which the police have found and are being defused, finally they entered one polish station, killing all the policemen in the station including two prisoners, and the fighting is still going on.
