My Thought for the Weekend

Last Read:

The smart one doesn't need explanations. The stupid one won't understand them. So don't waste yourself...( SL )

Summer here was mercilessly and abruptly driven away with one blow by autumn...Or shall I say with one punch - heavy winds, cold rains and stormy weather. Now we are sealed under the lid of the heavy grey sky and meagre day temps of 22*C...

Of course, I'm unhappy, I desperately miss my swimming...and the sun. Somebody from Australia, Florida or South Africa adopt me for the next nine months?

Picture on post reflects my mood at the moment

Still loving you and wishing you a sunnier weekend than mine,

SL

It has gotten cloudy, rainy and cooler here also.

Let's find a villa on one of the Caribbean islands for at least the next 9 months.

Yup been raining here for 3 days, but it is still warm to hot in Dallas.

But it has not slowed my fun down one little bit Just have to think up other activities like, last night I went and seen a great live band at my local club, and tonight I think I will go see the new ~ Star Trek ~ movie at the IMAX theater

You will always have sunshine in your heart

My mum used to say if you look at the sky and can make a pair of trousers out of the blueness it is a sunny day (mind you she never told me how to sew the pieces together at such a height )

Aha, there will be little that you can tell me about water that i do not already know except maybe your perception of it.

You said " magic of the big water" well the ocean is only a few hours drive from my home, and I have been to the Texas gulf coast many, many times I have been to all of the USA virgin islands and dove the national under-water park there - best elk-horn coral I have seen.

I have been to the beaches in California, Florida both sides, the beaches of mexico - Cancun, Ixtapia, Cozumel and isla mohair. I have been to Grand Cayman and little Cayman islands several times and enjoy diving and snorkeling and deep sea fishing, in Cayman i have fed a 200 lbs grouper and a large green moray eel and big sting rays with my hands. to name a few

This February will make 30 years I have been a professional in the water industry.

So I love talking about water and "big water" , but I wont let a little rain or cold stop me from finding fun in other venues

He-he, I knew that my words will buzz you ...In fact, your comment impressed me a lot and I honestly envy you for all named places you have visited and the beauty you have seen. I have swum in only three other big waters but the one I live by. So I can only share my perception of it...That is why I will share with you something I wrote in a private e-mail a while ago. But your commnet deserves it...
"Swimming is such a stress relieving therapy for me - the feeling of being weightless and flying, the warm water engulfing and caressing your body, then the sun soaking in your cells and the breeze fluttering on your skin, your feet dug in the hot sand..I can't live without this..."

My father was a first prizer in swimming and rowing contests, I guess his love for the sea has gone into my blood...And I live only 7 min. walk from the big water. It is so sad when it closes for my touch and I can only watch its big clumsy winterly grey body, distant and cold, from the edge of the hill, longing for his hug...

Thank you for sharing thoughts with me, Texas man

And while I know well this feeling .. I am a true "land lubber" as I like to visit the beaches and oceans of the world. after about 2 weeks and 2 books later, I ready for life in the big city and the enternatinmet that it offers. But I will start planning for my next horseback ride in the mountains or my next day in the sun at the clear blue waters of the oceans.

Matter of fact we just had 5 days of rain here and I can feel the tug of rum drinks and palm trees and "big waters" as I type this

Discussing winter before it arrives is depressing.

We would rather try to ignore winter's arrival in hopes of a few more days of summer (as we are having here in the Pittsburgh area).

I know I tend to close the vertical blinds and turn up my lights and ignore the winter as much as possible while it's here.

Sweet Sis,

(The smart one doesn't need explanations. The stupid one won't understand them. So don't waste yourself...)
Organic intelligence is unlike any other form intelligence, there's just no understanding it at times..

And yes, I do agree with you. I gave up wasting my breathe on those who don't or refuse to listen. But remember this, "there's someone who wants to hear what you have to say. Cause only a wise person finds value in listening contently, specially to the unspoken words.

Winter is not a time of death, Sis. It's a time for the earth to sleep and prepare it's self for a new awaking.. Something we all can do with I think, A New Awaking - a change of life..

Love ya too Sis.. Keep your chin up. When I get ahead with work we'll chat.. *HUGS*

Thanks for responding to my appeal ...Yes, organic intelligence is something that can't be learnt...
..."there's someone who wants to hear what you have to say. Cause only a wise person finds value in listening contently..."
When you discuss something with a peer, it is sharing of opinions and experience, not futile explanations..Yep, I've stopped wasting my breath, too...Sadly, too few people left to talk to ...

Lol Sunlover, I was going to entice you with images of Queensland beaches washed by pure blue waters and the sun casting it's golden rays upon the sand overshadowed by palm trees. I thought that I may be teasing you with these images of pristine beauty and mile after mile of desrted tropical beaches in our north - (a long way up north). However, I'm not going to tease you. That's why I said I wasn't going to tease you. Oops, I may be in trouble again - lol. I better go - bye.
