Paris

I liked Paris more than I thought I would. I liked the atmosphere in Paris - there is no day or night there, the streets and cafes are always full of people, and not only because of the tourists. It is very beautiful along the Seine. And most of French people speak English and are quite polite contrary to the rumours about them.

I visited many places of interest in Paris but the museums which impressed me most are the Louvre, an old dream of mine, and Musee d'Orsey. I posted five pics from Paris for you: two pics of Seine with its bridges, the beautiful white Sacre Coeur Basilica, Notre Dame Cathedral with me in front , and the inside court of the Louvre with its magnificent buildings.

And that's the end of my travel story 'Three Countries in a Week'...My eyes are directed to another land now, I may tell you about it later

I'm wishing you an exciting summer and welcoming you to sunny Bulgaria

Yours SL,

No information in advance for curious ladies ..It's neither Denmark nor Germany
My turn to ask now, "When are you coming to Bulgaria?"

I was thinking about going with rachie in August, as you said, but she won't go anymore. What is the best beach in your oppinion, if I look for a hotel on the beach?

Ouuu great picture like how you did the menagerie

I would luv to go there to see the museums and castles in France

But they don't care much for Americans anymore .. even though we freed their country from Hitler

I am thinking of saving my pennies for a trip to Madrid Spain .. sleeping late .. then a noon siesta .. and party all night sure sounds like fun to me and they had a great write up about it in the travel section of the newspaper today they often give you free food with a glass of wine .. now how cool is that

Marvelous pictures! The overcast weather endowed the River Seine with an air of solemnity and calmness.

Um, did you meet the Hunchback of Notre Dame, SL?

Beta...not 'i won't go anymore'...i said i 'can't' go at the moment, as i am out of work and cannot afford to, especially august time as much more expensive..sept, oct would be more affordable, but then again, i said, if my circumstances changed then i would go...

Hi Beta,

Misty and Riny stayed at Selena hotel in Sozopol last summer and I think they liked it. The hotel's stairs go down right on the beach. You can also look for hotels in Nessebar, its beaches are lovely, too, and the town has an old part, the same as Sozopol. But you would do the best if you make an 'enlightenment' contact with Misty . If she and Riny decide to come to Bulgaria again, and you, they and I can meet, it would be just GREAT !!!!

Lol, Tex8an, Spanish people must have desperately decided to attract more tourists with these extras in order to improve their economics ...

I haven't been to Madrid but southern Spain is very picturesque. I wish you that you really visit this charming country.

Well, I'd say even the miserable weather and overcast sky couldn't spoil the beauty of Seine scenery..I couldn't discern Hunchback in the shadows of Notre Dame, but as I wrote to Alec, I was happy to be present at a Saturday sermon and listen to an organ for the second time in my life. My first time was in the Westminster Abbey in London. Memorable experiences both

Hi Misty,

I'm glad I managed to see the places of interest planned on my list.
The Louvre was a dream of mine from my childhood and I'm happy I finally saw it. It was worth every minute of my three hours in there. I also loved the sculptures and impressionistic paintings in Musee d'Orsay. After visiting Picasso museum in Barcelona, I decided I could skip him this time ...

hi SL, glad to hear you had a wonderful vacation. the pics are very nice and clear. maybe we should take advantage of the SIZE posting more pics here on ff!
as i sometimes thought of European countries' architectures that they have similar looks although they are amazingly beautiful (which i as well imagine many would think the same about countries in Asia esp South East)..... anyway to Paris, i would love to go back ..only if i ever find someone special for the romantic travel.. with dine-out under candle light.. hmmm i'm day-dreaming lol
have summer fun and take care.

Ahh Paris,I have so many fond memories of it..The Tower was so busy that day it would have taken 4 hours wait for the next boarding..
The old streets with it's painters..I had a cuttings done,a photo picture that looks exactly like me..
The cathedral,huge..The many monuments, the languages that flowed around as you walked about..I was left in amazement's,my eyes wide open to what comes next..All beautiful.
The only thing I had to be aware of was not walking in the Dogs poo..There was many dogs poo on the streets..
Maybe it is differ today as it was ten years ago..I hope to one day, visit Paris again...The city of love..
Glad to read that you had such a lovely time..
