Disappointment Today, though I am praising God for saving me from yet another mistake, I am also disappointed and angry. Why do men lie? Why do they, as married men, get onto a dating website and misrepresent themselves? While this latest disappointment may claim he is currently "separated" and "in the process of a divorce," he's far from it. I sat and listened to nearly twelve hours of stories about his wife. And about his first, ex-wife. I tried a few times to get a word in edgewise, but he would reply with "Yeah, anyway," and continue on with his dialogue as if I'd never said a word. Utter and complete self-involvement. I was shell-shocked and exhausted by the end of it all. I'm glad that there was no attraction--at least on my part. How many times do I need to tell men that if you're attached in any way to someone else, you're not for me. So many things turned out to be lies (He's a confirmed Lutheran--in fact, he's little more than an atheist. Definitely NOT for me.). So many things were misrepresented (He still considers himself to be very much married, yet he's on more than one dating site.) The entire get-to-know-each-other day was a lesson in do-not-trust-men. Sad to say, this has raised the bar even higher for the next guy. Sorry gentlemen who are on the square, but it's true. The jerks ruin it for the rest of you. Sorry to hear you have to go thru all these. Honestly I do not understand why many men are like this. It's better to stay single than to get ourselves attach to jerks who do not know exactly what they want in life.

Great quotes! I live life by these too. We have to stand for ourselves before we could stand for others. Have a great day!
