PARTIES AGREE ON GAZA TRUCE !!!

Israel and Palestinian militant groups in the Gaza Strip have agreed to a three day humanitarian truce beginning this morning
and negotiators from both sides will travel to Cairo to discuss a longer - term solution.

The 72 hour break after more than three weeks of fighting was set to begin at 7am according to a joint statement released from the US Secretary of State John Kerry and UN Secretary General
Ban Ki-Moon.

An Official in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said Israel had accepted the US/UN proposal.

A spokesman for Hamas, the Islamic Group dominant in Gaza, said all Palestinians factions would abide by the truce.

Hours before the ceasefire was announced ..Netanyahu facing international alarm over a rising civilian death toll in Gaza. said he would not accept any truce that stopped the destruction of militants infiltration tunnels.

Israel and Palestinian delegations in the meantime would travel to Cairo for separate negotiations to reach a more durable ceasefire...

The Palestinian delegation would comprise Hamas, Western-backed Fatah ,, the Islamic Jihad militant group and a number of smaller factions.

Representatives from Israel and the US would not sit across the table from Hamas,,,the officials added...
"The US, EU and Israel consider Hamas a terrorist group."
Now how can negotiation take place with this attitude>>>>

The past few weeks the graphic images of people caught in the crossfire splashed across our television sets...newspapers. .. brings the reality of war home. Both sides are not innocent. How do you deal with a situation where both sides are continually provoking each other??

It is a known fact that, Hamas, which is acronym for
arakat-al-muq wamah al-isl miyyah which it means"
"silence I will kill you" ..........has never and will never recognise the legitimacy of the state of Israel...Hamas has vowed to destroy the people of Israel.

As difficult as it may seem, this negotiations in Cairo must be fruitful ..

Families are tired of looking for body parts of their innocent loved ones when their homes are shelled by rocket fire.
Ultimately sanity needs to prevail to prevent loss of innocent civilians.
