South Africa to the rescue !!!

South Africans made their feelings count when they donated
R1.5 million in just five days to the people of Palestine and Syria.

The South African National Zakah Fund, an independent national faith-based organisation and welfare institution, made a public plea for donations a week ago.

By Thursday, more than R1 million had been donated, the foundation has representatives on the ground at the Gaza, helping those affected by Israeli attacks.

The handover of the money was done on Friday and aid is expected to reach the people of Palestine in due course..Many South Africans were affected by the situation in Palestine and they needed a platform to help, hence, Sanzaf intervened.

Most of the money would be used for medical supplies. This is the aid they need the most. The said organisation condemned the violation of human rights taking place.

Meanwhile thousands of Durbanites took to the streets in support of the Palestinians in Gaza..
The protesters wore colours that represented the Palestinians and South African flags.

Abdul Rahim Gani, a co-ordinator of the KZN Palestine Solidarity Forum said the support from Durban residents were overwhelming .

"We are all outraged by what is happening and people from all religions of all colours and from all over Durban come together to show support for the people of Palestine. We are going to continue our protests and support until Israel stops this war.
This is not a Muslim issue it's a HUMANITARIAN AFFAIR" said Gani,

Humanitarian at its best:
A bead working workshop was held were local beaders made Palestinians inspired items which then went on sale.

Sad reality:
47 000 Gazans seeking sanctuary
70 percent of electricity power lines damaged by Israeli

Blessed are the peacemakers
