FRIENDS - One thing we should always remember: "If it's good, it came from God; if it's evil, it came from the Devil." When we see bad things happening, God did not cause them to happen; He allowed them to happen. We all have a free will, and we are free to act as we please. God allows all of us, including nations, to make mistakes without intervening, no matter what the result may be. Since Jesus the Christ came, taught us how to live and then died on the cross, paying the penalty for our sins, God only intervenes in human affairs when we are in a right relationship with Him and we call upon Him in Jesus' name to do so. Our words and actions have consequences. If those words and actions are good, we are blessed; if those words and actions are evil, we suffer the consequences and pay the price. "What goes up, must come down" is an old saying about gravity. In the course of human affairs, "what goes around, comes around," and the gravity of its effect or consequences is dependent upon the seriousness of the offense. When a person or a nation ignores God, acting in defiance of His laws, they are soon in trouble, and they will pay the penalty for their words and deeds...or their lack of appropriate action. More and more, far too many of our leaders and our citizens here in the USA are acting contrary to the will of God. When one politician or elected leader personally attacks another one who is earnestly striving to do God's will, trying to destroy his credibility and good reputation, that is a serious offense. When other Americans join in with the offenders, participating in the attacks, they are then guilty of the same offense. And all will have a penalty exacted upon them for those offenses. When a nation turns its back on God, God turns His back on that nation with disastrous consequences. History is filled with tragic examples. The Roman Empire and Greece immediately come to mind, but there were others. If offenders in the USA don't repent soon and start doing only what is right and just, we Americans have a huge problem with catastrophic consequencs ahead of us right here in our own homeland. Dan, Did you read my blog entry today about "Putting the Map Together"? Carolina Redneck "dittos" to what you say. Good Vs. Evil. Is that the same as Democrats VS. Republicans? Just one of those metaphors that makes you go "Hmmmmmmm..." I wouldn't put too much stock, though, on that "words have consequences" business. We still have a large segment of leftists trying to decipher Bill's question about what the definition of "Is" is. Dave
