Now some may say this is a poem, but its a song lyric....im sure we could get into profound discussion on the differences but believe me...this, is a lyric lol !! think rythmic strict tempo 3/4 time...... You promised me, promised me, promised me, promised me you promised youd love me through thick and through thin, you promised youd love me and Everything. For richer for poorer till death do us part, you promised youd love me i gave you my heart but now, Things are much easier now youre not around, enjoying my own company with out all the sound. Of your whining, complaining and nagging at me to keep up with the Joneses multiplied by 3... And the ring you can keep and the rest of the stuff, my clothes out in bin bags were plenty enough you got what you wanted nice house ,car ,TV. Did you know that your mother had come onto me ? We met on the rebound but i payed the price of your millionaire lifestyle at middle class price. Youre a snob and a bitch i was weak and a fool but now i hold my head high while you shoot the moon. Now your new wealthy boyfriend will be number 4, marriage to you is simply a chore To acheiving the things that you cant live without and your self esteems shattererd ? I very much doubt And the knickers you left in your other mans bed should be framed as a warning, danger is red.. You promised youd love me just 4 years ago, you promised youd love me for ever you know. You lied......... lol..i worte this as i was getting divorced 4 years ago..the original was scarier and ruder lol....hell i was bitter at the time...but now...lifes a million times better...everyone makes mistakes haha ! Just wanted to share it cos im kind of proud of it. hello martin...good lyrics..like to hear the original so I can send it to my ex... Time heals all wounds so they say..so THEY must be correct, you seem such a gentle kind soul..keep up the positive attitude..I am trying to practice what I preach.. And, I think its a nice song...speaks the truth about separation or ending any kind of relationship...
