I was on my bike heading down to my storage locker to get some things out to send to my sister to hold for me. I stopped at a street and then crossed it. In the middle of the street my bike pedal without any advance warning went flying off. I had my bike only for four days now when this happened. So, I took it back to Walmart. They replaced the pedal and also the back wheel gear as the guy that fixes bikes there determined that it was defective as well. Now it looks like it will rain and I will put off going down to the storage shed until the weather clears up.

why a new bike would present defects? What was the guy saying about it?
