A Long Way from Chicago is a children's "novel in stories" by Richard Peck. It was awarded the Newbery Honor distinction in 1999. _________________________________________________ That means that it was written for children to read but after hearing all these commercials on the radio about it I decided to read it myself. The stories are short and amusing. The last one will bring a tear to your eyes. At least it did to me.
